The Director, Program Management is the chief promise keeper for a portfolio consisting of multiple programs and work streams keeping an end to end perspective across all projects. This position is responsible for portfolio delivery by driving commitments to completion on time, on budget and on quality. This includes partnering with cross functional teams (i.e. implementation, content development, product marketing, DPG) as appropriate to ensure deliverables and dependencies are well understood, scheduled and on track.
Your contribution to the team includes:
Developing portfolio/program/project plans and other tracking mechanisms.
Owning budget planning and tracking, and effectively estimating team capacity.
Fostering flow of ideas and building consensus across program and other teams.
Producing accurate reporting on portfolio/program/project status and updates using standard HE tools and processes.
Understanding the tools needed for both Program and Project management and that data is properly and timely updated.
What you'll need to be successful:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or related field preferred.
Deep knowledge of project management with 5-7 years as Project Manager, or Program Manager. Exposure to agile project management is a plus.
Strong knowledge of education industry.
Knowledge of software development and adoption, ideally in Ed Tech.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred, Agile and Scrum Master experience a plus.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage simultaneous projects across multiple project managers.
Proven ability to succeed in deadline-conscious, results-driven, high-performing, high-intensity environment.
Demonstrated skills in leadership, negotiation, conflict management, communications (verbal and written), organizational and critical thinking.
Excellent interpersonal skills and inspire teamwork through work with cross-functional teams.
Experience in consulting working with business partners, external vendors utilizing both traditional and rapid/lightweight project management is desired.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
