Director of Global Program and Release Management will be an integral part of our Product Operations team supporting the R&D organization to ensure efficient, timely and operational delivery of product releases and other strategic initiatives. In this role, you will partner with the product managers and engineering leaders for planning, execution, reporting, and resource management. You will also be responsible for program managing multiple strategic cross-functional initiatives that include, but are not limited to, the following lifecycle activities: product requirements, product development, training, product delivery and go-to-market activities, and strategic customer POC engagements. This position will involve direct interaction with Product Development and QA, Product Managers, Technical Support and Field Systems Engineers.

Build and manage a team of geographically distributed Technical Program Managers and lead the delivery of releases and initiatives on schedule and with superior product quality.
Drive weekly meetings to review release and program execution, assess risk, call out mitigation plans/action items and communicate with key stakeholders
Champion continuous improvement in processes and infrastructure by leveraging KPIs to measure pre and post product release success.
Influence product development, testability, and quality to ensure a superior end to end customer journey
Effectively manage a portfolio of various initiatives by partnering with engineering and product leaders.
Lead project planning activities and facilitate project meetings, ensuring the project team
delivers against its commitments with the highest quality deliverables in a timely fashion
Establish and manage field expectations through-out the project lifecycle
Report and escalate issues, with mitigation and path to resolution
Identify risks, perform risk analysis, effectively manage risks; proactively raise prioritization and scheduling tradeoff decisions, escalating and identifying alternate options as appropriate
Oversee and ensure all status materials are compiled and completed in a timely fashion
Document and communicate project and activity status on regular basis
12+ years' experience as a technical program manager, driving and delivering complex cross-functional programs and software releases in fast-paced environments
In-depth knowledge and experience with project planning, execution, go-to-market activities, and managing cross functional, global project teams.
Program management experience; experience managing or providing guidance to less experienced project managers.
Previous experience in managing software product development/qa teams.
Solid analytical and problem solving skills; ability to think strategically.
Excellent hands-on experience in building and leveraging reporting dashboards in Jira and other similar tools
Experience presenting to executive level leaders.
Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
Deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to
post-implementation customer support and customer adoption.
Solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices.
Team player with an ability to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
BS or MS degree is preferred
