Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Director, Program Management

  • Museum and Heritage will join the Walmart Corporate Real Estate team and will lead the creation of all exhibitions, collections management, research, and the museum archives. They will be responsible for the creation and implementation of strategic initiatives that align with the Walmart's core values using new and engaging technologies. The Director, Program Management

  • Museum and Heritage is a critical role that requires a leader with a passion and experience in museum curation that incorporates modern technology into bringing to life Walmart's history and culture and is committed to the preservation and promotion of its collective heritage.

What you'll do...

  • Plan, organize, and direct activities related to exhibitions, education, collections management, research of museum archives and exhibits.

  • Oversee the acquisition, preservation, and exhibition of collections, ensuring compliance with professional standards and practices as well as authentication of pieces.

  • Plan and execute the installation and presentation of collections and exhibitions within the museum and throughout the company portfolio.

  • Create and curate exhibits that can be deployed remotely to support Walmart's extended locations and events.

  • Field requests from executive leadership for ways to share Walmart heritage and core values to a wide variety of audiences.

  • Ensure the museum's compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to exhibits and archives.

  • Develop and manage the museum's acquisition, preservation, and exhibition budget.

  • Manage the museums Archive staff responsible for documentation and organization of artifacts, artwork, documents, and other pieces that will be displayed in the museum and across the portfolio.

  • Manage the museums Archive staff including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development activities.

  • Develop processes for asset distribution via the WalmartMuseum.com web site.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Legal, or related field and 5 years' experience in project management, compliance, operations management or related area OR 7 years' experience in project management, compliance, operations management, or related area.

4 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.

4 years' experience leading cross-functional teams.
