The Director, Product Portfolio Management will be monitoring the broader market of Covetrus' animal health products. As the Program Manager you will continuously be evaluating all products in terms of how they perform relative to each other and compare to the market. This strategic monitoring will enable you to help the product management team on the prioritization and adjustments of our investments. You will lead the upkeep of our global roadmap and work to align our product leaders across the globe with our strategic initiatives. The Program Manager will establish a product portfolio dashboard and metrics to continuously measure and work with the product and engineering teams to make improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate with Product Mangers in developing and maintaining global product roadmap

  • Manage all the pipelines related to specified product roadmap items. Prune any roadmap item in accordance with product management processes to asses and prioritize the initiatives at hand

  • Provide detailed communication with global team, managing all global product requests and forecasting.

  • Working with PMO to ensure on time delivery of products and successful commercialization

  • Understanding the product, functions and branding messaging

  • Participating and collaborating in a cross-functional team environment

  • Manages activities to resolve problems in a timely and accurate fashion ensuring effective communication to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Ensures the sequencing of projects is appropriate at the program level.

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.

  • 3-5 years project management experience.

  • Knowledge and understanding of product life cycle, product positioning and Product Strategy

  • Proven ability to work simultaneously on different projects and priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to function independently and work with cross-functional teams

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to: * Develops, implements and maintains competitive products and portfolios to meet strategy and be competitive and profitable. * Collects competitive data, performs market research and analyzes findings and actions. * Partners with product managers in Speciality, Rs, Health and Wellness, etc. to achieve strategy in the marketplace. * Tracks product performance by benefit design, market segment and geography. * Supports the development of short and long term strategic product plans in support of market, sales and profitability objectives. * Identifies system needs to support implementation of new products and product enhancements. * May lead effort or manage project teams in the implementation of regional and company-wide initiatives including legislative changes, network/provider changes/ medical management program and policy initiatives, etc. * Follows product implementation lifecycle and supports the implementation team launching the new products or product enhancements including go-to-market, marketing collateral, sales and broker training, filing documentation, etc. * Maintains integrated market and capability roadmaps, ensuring internal alignment amongst Product teams and strategic alignment across the Commercial Small Group organization. Qualifications Requires a BA/BS degree; 5-8 years of product management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. * Portfolio management experience required. * Experience working in the managed care / healthcare insurance industry strongly preferred. * Incumbent will be an analytical, strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and understanding of market. * MBA preferred.
