Overview

Reporting to Senior Director, Data and AI platform Engineering, the Director of Data Governance Platform Ops will oversee all aspects of Data and ML Platform including the development and implementation of strategies to optimize Platform ecosystem, ensure data integrity, enhance data quality, standardization and accessibility. This strategic role will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of our data platform while driving innovation and best practices in data management and machine learning operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of MLOps practices and tools to streamline the development, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning models

• Continuously monitor and analyze model performance metrics, identifying opportunities for further optimization and improvement.

• Collaborate with data science teams to implement automated hyperparameter tuning pipelines, leveraging industry standard tools.

• Hire, train, and lead a high-performing team of data platform operations professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, data science, IT, and business stakeholders.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data management, ML Ops, and cloud computing, and drive the adoption of industry best practices within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience

• 7+ years in Data and ML Platform Operations, with 4+ years in a leadership role

• Experience in implementing and Managing ML Platform Ops practices and tools

Technical Skills

• Hands-On experience with a wide range of ML technologies and Cloud Platforms Including AzureML, Databricks, Redshift, Big Query, Snowflake, AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Extensive Operational experience in architecting and managing peta-byte scale machine learning (ML) platforms and solutions leveraging cutting-edge technologies.

• Deep understanding of ML best practices, algorithms and Domains.

• Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks and programming languages.

• Proficient understanding of GenAI Tech stack and the framework for prompts within the data and ML landscape

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills

• Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent planning and organization skills.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating workshops/meetings

• Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine

• Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping

• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
