Position Summary:

ETS is the state testing contractor for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and the English Language Proficiency Assessment for California (ELPAC). The Director of Product Operations Managements directly contributes to product success under the direction of Senior Management by providing a wide variety of support services to the CA K-12 Management team and our client at the California Department of Education (CDE).

This position will have primary responsibility and accountability for the comprehensive plan and schedule of deliverables under the direction of the Senior Director of Operations. This position provides the overall project management structure of the project schedules and defines project management plans and processes that the program operations management team uses in their day-to-day operations of their assigned areas of responsibility. This position will also supervise a team of product operations administrators and project managers in carrying out the overall project management plan in accordance with the Product Operating Model.

Quick thinking, the ability to absorb knowledge quickly, and organizational skills are valued skillsets for this position. An in-depth understanding of the K-12 assessment lifecycle, the contractual scope of work, and a proactive mindset to execute against requirements is critical.

Responsibilities:

End-to-End Product Operations Management & Delivery

  • Accountable for creation of the product work plan and executes against the product work plan.

  • Directs work of product operations administrators and project management office staff to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Defines and improves work processes to reduce product costs and protect product quality.

  • Directs contracts and royalty payments with external partners for products.

  • Identifies product delivery improvement areas and shares with Product Managers.

  • Communicates and collaborates with FCEs/vendors/partners clearly and effectively.

  • Accountable for delivering on products/features promised to client/customer.

  • Participate in client/customer meetings as needed to provide operational expertise.

Contract/SLA Fulfillment

  • Responsible for ensuring that product delivery meets client expectations.

  • Directs the work of product operations team to ensure that milestones are met, contractual obligations are fulfilled, and delivery meets client expectations.

  • Tracks performance against SLAs and work with FCEs and service providers to improve performance as needed.

Risk Management

  • Manages the identification of operational risks and creation of mitigation plan.

Financial Management

  • Responsible for tracking/managing all product-related expenditures against budget.

  • Responsible for supporting attainment of surplus targets by controlling expenses.

  • Works with FCE's to identify opportunities to reduce product costs across the value chain and be accountable for their implementation.

Human Resource Management

  • Supervises, mentors and coaches professional staff.

  • Adheres to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to job function.

Experience and Skills

Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses:

  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience) in related fields such as: Business Administration, Operations Management/Engineering or other areas combined with relevant work experience.
  • MBA preferred.

Relevant Years of Experience Required:

  • 3-5 years of combined experience in operations management.

  • Previous experience in one or more of the following: project management, business analysis, budget management, product management or client relationship management is required.

  • Current experience in the K-12 assessment lifecycle is required.

Position Summary The Senior Cybersecurity Product Specialist will support the Physical Identity and Access Management products. This position will maintain, document, develop and deliver Physical Security technology solutions in addition to working closely with Corporate Security, Business Partners and various IT organizations. This role will be responsible for maintaining and maturing our Physical Security technologies such as AMAG, Genetec, Video Management Systems, HID SAFE, etc. The preference for the work location is San Francisco at our General Office, but Sacramento may be an alternate. There may be some occasional, but minimal travel to SF as business needs may arise.
