Director, Product Marketing - Endpoint

We are looking for an experienced marketing leader to drive our endpoint marketing efforts. Beyond traditional GTM, messaging and value proposition, we are looking for this leader to think creatively not be afraid to try and fail with the goal of making a positive impact for our company.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in marketing enterprise security solutions. This role will serve as the front line marketing executive to lead engagement with a variety of product management, product marketing, communications and field marketing groups at Palo Alto Networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Palo Alto Networks marketing executives and key product management leaders to develop the overall messaging, marketing strategy and priorities

  • Drive content creation to support messaging and objectives for awareness and demand generation campaigns that produce leads and referrals for Palo Alto Networks

  • Lead team to drive a buyer's journey approach to market adoption, sales/partner enablement and pipeline nurture

  • Lead and influence creation of high-impact, scalable global marketing programs

  • Ensure that we have compelling materials for global sales teams to use in driving customer demand for our security subscriptions

  • Lead a team of product marketing professionals focused on next generation endpoint

  • Drive sales enablement and field marketing managers to ensure overall execution against strategic objectives and priorities

  • Provide consistent partner marketing support for key joint marketing programs and events

  • Identify and track relevant metrics of success and best practices


  • 10+ years of product marketing and/or product management experience with specific responsibility for developing high impact messaging.

  • Must enjoy operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and competitive environment with a focus on partner success

  • Experience working with partners, channel, and/or system integrators to build strategic programs that drive demand

  • Strategic and analytical thinker who is able to blend technology and business strategy to develop and execute compelling marketing plans

  • Comfortable with complexity and thinking on multiple levels of abstraction; demonstrated use of critical thinking techniques.

  • Knowledge of firewall, endpoint security and cloud security are a plus

  • Demonstrated experience developing effective sales messaging content and presentations

  • Experience working with effectively across product, marketing, sales and present to executives

  • Ability to provide market level or strategic level analysis for senior executives

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Technical degree strongly preferred

  • MBA preferred but not required

The Team: Marketing Technology: The Marketing Technology team works to support our internal business and internal marketing team by providing best in class marketing and advertising technology to help Chegg maintain our competitive advantage by understanding the student better and faster than anyone else - using that insight to personalize our campaigns to better help students. We use a combination of third party and in-house technologies to deliver on our mission. The Role: Director of Marketing Technology Chegg has an exciting role for someone who wants to create, lead and manage a team that is critical to our growth. By building out scalable processes and a best in class supporting technology stack you will help Chegg acquire and retain students. In this role at Chegg, you will own and evolve our AdTech and MarTech platforms with the goal of enabling our product and marketing teams to more effectively acquire and retain students. To be successful you will need to be a strong partner capable of communicating with business and engineering partners - translating business goals into a technical roadmap for our tech stack. Your Responsibilities: * Own the vision and ensure smooth execution against our roadmap for our Marketing and Advertising Tech stack. * Continually evolve Chegg's marketing and advertising tech stack (and processes around that stack) as Chegg's business grows. * Understand the MarTech and AdTech product landscape, identifying and testing new platforms for potential inclusion in our stack * Own measurement across marketing teams and platforms. Ensure that our conversion flows across site analytics, mobile app, and partner conversion tags are fully instrumented, diligently managed, and trusted. * Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to increase site visitor recognition. * Lead team - balancing your natural desire to provide short term solutions to help the business move fast whilst building out scalable longer-term solutions. Lead cross-functional task force teams. * Align marketing and ad tech roadmap with Chegg's broader data, personalization, and analytics strategies. Help us bridge the gap between customer touch points to one unified view of our customer and ensure data elements/audiences are well defined, available and maintained in platforms for teams to act upon. * Build and develop a high performing team who understand their roles and responsibilities as they relate to driving operational excellence. * Partner with Chegg leadership to manage selection (sourcing, RFP, due-diligence, testing, legal, finance) and management (renewal, contract renegotiation) of partners and platforms. Hold vendor partners accountable and influence product roadmaps on a regular cadence. * Guide team in understanding the full capability of tools/platforms and supporting training globally. Requirements: * Ability to solve marketing problems through the creative application of technology. * Practical experience in a high growth Digital Marketing subscription business. * Experience leading diverse teams to meet business goals, including career coaching and development. * Detailed understanding of CRM tools and operations, digital media operations, tracking, and ad serving. * Experience with tag management platforms such as Tealium, DTM, Adobe Launch. * Familiarity with reporting tools, dashboards and data visualization as they relate to helping drive operational excellence. Analytical mindset, comfortable using data to spot trends and inform ways to improve system performance. * Good communication skills, written and verbal. Transparent and accurate when keeping partners informed of progress. * Ability to communicate at a high level when helping teams understand technology components and how they interoperate.
