Mitel is seeking a Director, Product Marketing Operations to lead the operational aspects of Product Marketing for the company's global business that's over $1.1B in annual revenues. The role will report to the VP of Product Marketing and own the process and program management of Product Marketing activities and deliverables including those in support of Product Development Process, Launch Planning, and Demand Gen Campaigns with a particular emphasis on owning and improving the Promotions process. A second area of responsibility will be to define and own a Pricing Council for the company, working with Finance, Sales and Product Management teams. Lastly, the role will also be responsible for representing the Product organization in demand forecasting activities on a quarterly and annual basis, working with Operations, Sales, Finance, as well as with Annual and Strategic Planning teams.


  • Own the process and program management of all the Product Marketing activities and deliverables in support of bringing to market a compelling set of products / solutions, and driving demand and adoption for them

  • Streamline and improve the process of identifying, reviewing, and launching marketing promotions, and thereby help the organization to focus on what are the right promotions to roll out to achieve the business objectives

  • Help define the right metrics, track and report on the performance of those promotions

  • Work closely in collaboration with the Product Marketing Leadership team to accomplishing the above

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Finance and Operations to streamline demand forecasting and represent the Product organization in forecast interlock meetings with Sales and Operations

  • Work closely with Strategic and Portfolio Planning teams to help with modeling of GTM aspects of new initiatives (determination of right GTM motion, and the associated sizing / modeling)

  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales and Product Management to define and implement a Pricing Council that will be responsible for review of pricing strategy, sales discounts and rebates, and any major transactions that need evaluation


  • Advanced or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Marketing and/or Business Administration

  • 10 - 15 years of professional experience with at least 5 years in Marketing and 3 years of Business Operations or Program Management experience

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with strong personalities spread across different functions and geography

  • Experience in B2B and channel-based business environment - track record on working with Value Added Resellers, Distributors, Master Agents, and System Integrators will be a big plus

  • Exposure to CPQ, Salesforce and SAP, and great analytical and quantitative skills

  • Experience in the Unified Communications and Collaboration industry is a plus

  • Must be detail orientated and have willingness to roll-up sleeves and get things done

In this highly visible role you will partner with the Provider Domain Owner to understand business priorities and drive execution of business initiatives in support of the domain. Additionally you will actively participate in the Provider Data Domain governance and strategy framework. The Enterprise Data Strategy team within Global Data & Analytics (GD&A) is built to help CIGNA drive that improvement in the accessibility and quality of our data assets and tools, and allow us to deliver data solutions faster than we do today. Our ultimate goal is to ensure Cigna's ability to grow is unconstrained by any limitations of our data. The CIGNA Enterprise Data Strategy team is comprised of business and technical teams spanning Customer, Provider, Buyer and Intermediary Data Domains as well as foundational enterprise data teams. Responsibilities: * Sets the vision and strategic direction of the work for the group. Works with Enterprise Data Strategy Data Office team to define and establish provider data catalog, data policy library, data quality program, metadata and reference repository. * Partners with Enterprise Data Strategy (EDS) Data Domain Owner to decompose Portfolio (Agile) Epic work requirements and priorities into Program Epics. Maintains the Program Backlog and decomposes Portfolio Epics into Program Epics and Features. Full accountability for execution of Program Epics and associated products / deliverables. * Makes and executes key decisions on strategy and direction; creates Vision and Roadmap. * In collaboration with stakeholders, ensures teams have necessary budgets, resources, approvals, and other support. * Communicates regularly with key Stakeholders to collect and share feedback. * Ensures that business owners are engaged and supportive of direction.
