The Director of Product Management is responsible for leading both Up and Downstream Product Management across the full product lifecycle.
Roadmap Development
Lead the development and execution of the product roadmap that connects markets, technology, and business strategy
Development of strategic marketing plans and activities that drive the flow of new products to our customers in a manner that adds more value to our current and future customers
Innovation
Drive strategies to understand the future needs of the market, and the impact this will have on present planning
Lead innovation design projects to improve clinical outcomes and user experience
Market Readiness
Oversee the market communication readiness strategies by driving the development of assets to support key product messaging, objection handling guidance, and demo talk tracks & assets
Recommend and drive business solutions from market research to inform product development, preclinical, and clinical research
Drive strategies gleaned from field data to inform future product development
Organizational Readiness
Lead the partnership between sales and product teams by fostering partnerships between internal product teams, sales teams, and management
Drive initiatives to develop processes and assets essential to the customer buying process
Commercial Success
Lead the product lifecycle by overseeing the product management team's controlled rollout of new product features to the field for domestic and international sites
Drive and recommend business solutions data from marketing and sales teams about product issues and support
A Day In The Life Of Our Director, Product Management:
Lead the product management team along with hands-on leadership
Lead definition, development, validation, and verification of the functions of new robotic medical platforms and all associated devices
Establish key customer and clinical requirements, ensure these requirements are being met and translated into product specifications, and verify and validate that developed products will meet the user's needs
Integration of risk management analysis and mitigation is to be taken into consideration as the user needs and product function are developed
Drive business analysis and develop recommendations for entry into potential new market segments, defining the criteria for Go-to-Market opportunities
Present strategic initiatives and business proposals to senior executives
Help guide product development and commercial decisions through strategic alignment and data analysis
Work closely with product, outbound, and field marketing groups, to ensure alignment between strategy and execution
Build out the long-term roadmap to ensure that Noah's products remain competitive in a dynamic market
Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement business solutions
Lead the strategies for consolidating, prioritizing, and disseminating customer feedback and data
Work with physicians to identify clinical needs, and understand the competitive dynamics of other products and companies in the marketplace
Drive strategies and initiatives in the development of training materials
About You:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science; Master's in Business Administration preferred
A minimum of 7 years of experience in the medical device industry is required, including 4 or more years in a supervisory role
Experience working with physicians in an operating room environment
Knowledge of basic anatomy, clinical terminology, and general surgical techniques
Knowledge of fundamentals of robotics or electromechanical systems
Ability to effectively communicate concepts, ideas, and knowledge to other individuals and teams
Proven track record of successfully analyzing customer feedback, generating user requirements, and conducting validation studies on medical devices
Experience in the regulated medical device environment, including but not limited to document control processes, design control processes, protocol development, and report writing
Experience working with healthcare providers in a hospital environment
Ability to structure detailed analyses of complex problems and data-driven business solutions
Ability to be both a leader/supervisor and a hands-on do-er
Experience developing protocols and SOP's for use in the evaluation of prototypes
Proven ease and credibility in working with surgeons and physicians, both in a hospital setting and in a pre-clinical test setting
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
