How you'll make your mark:

  • Leads, drives and provides approach for designing the end to end strategy for a suite of data storage software product portfolios that can be leveraged across the business unit.

  • Provides guiding principles for and defines value proposition, customer segmentation, and business case to bring innovative and disruptive business unit products to the market. (i.e. Product configuration mix, Revenue/margins, financials, market share).

  • Sets business unit agenda for and drives synthesizing market requirements (MRD) into marketing/customer details through having intimate customer knowledge and business, financial and industry market acumen.

  • Drives integration of the product portfolios lifecycles to business unit goals across all phases of the product portfolio and business unit lifecycle (e.g. planning, development, launch, management, exit).

  • Sets teams standards and operational metrics across all portfolios to align with the business unit's strategic goals (i.e. revenue unit/margins, market share, quality performance, channel route to market, quarterly financials and on time to delivery).

About you:

  • Recognized industry leader for team and people management skills, ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects.

  • Recognized industry leader for skills in cost efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis.

  • Recognized industry leader for knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.

  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product specific technical training to the team.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred

  • 15+ years of work experience in related field

  • Proven ability to define and execute a business strategy that drives operational excellence & profit

  • Strong technology foundation and business acumen and understand the technology strategy in the market

  • Demonstrated experience leading people managers

The Intent Based Network CX Product Management team's charter is to incubate and build the CX portfolio aligned with Cisco's Switching, Routing, Wireless, Data Center Networking, & IoT product portfolio with the goal of transforming Customer Experience consumption and delivery. What You'll Do This role core to driving the transformation of our Customer Experience portfolio. As the leader of the Business Product Management team for IBN, you'll own the portfolio's business performance and forecast to enable proper delivery readiness. You will drive the portfolio roadmap in close alignment with Cisco IBN product leaders to enable customer transitions. You will understand and easily articulate the offer proof of value and market strategy. You will be seen and recognized as a thought leader, who not only recognizes and builds on our organizational strengths, but also brings new perspective and ideas in to the team. Who You'll Work With In this exciting role, you'll be empowered to make a difference, establish a reputation, and position yourself for continued growth. Reporting to the head of CX Product Management for IBN, this role will work across CXPM AAS and the broader CX group. You will partner closely and collaborate with engineering leaders such as the heads of Switching, Wireless, Routing, Data Center Networking, and IoT products and their teams to drive joint product and CX strategies. Specifically, you will: * Lead product management teams to create and maintain offers through the product lifecycle * Define the business vision for the IBN CX offers * Collaborate with the product GMs and directors to define joint roadmaps, messages and forecasts. * Responsible for the market strategy and lead your teams' development of core messaging for the portfolio. Who You Are You are a motivated self-starter with a bias for action. You have a consistent track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment with organizational skills to lead multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively. You have cross-group collaboration and communication skills that drive influence among the senior leaders across a highly-matrixed organization.
