The Purpose of Your Role

The Director of Product Management, Client Engagement will design and execute on business development strategies with retirement intermediaries and plan sponsors with the goal of increasing penetration rates and building client retention strategies. She/He will work directly with plan intermediaries (Record Keepers, Advisors), Plan Sponsors as well as internal client facing teams, across the organization, to design and execute on strategies that will enable growth, support better client outcomes and provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Critical to this role is the successful execution of an integrated cross company client engagement strategy. In addition, this position will provide the voice of the customer to help inform the Off-Platform Workplace Advice product roadmap.

The Value You Deliver

Build strong client relationships resulting in strong penetration rates

  • Collaborate with sales and relationship management teams to implement and successfully execute strong record keeper and plan sponsor support programs (end to end perspective)

  • Create and execute business development plans with record keepers leading to strong client penetration

  • Design and implement strategies to grow awareness and adoption of Workplace Advice through record keepers and advisors

  • Provide primary client support for strategic plan sponsor's ensuring strong integration of Workplace Advice within their benefits offering and supporting programs that will help support better plan and participant outcomes

  • Provide feedback on capabilities and vision to support the product roadmap

How Your Work Impacts the Organization

The Off-Platform Workplace Advice team is responsible for providing advice solutions to plans and participants through non-affiliated record keepers. This role is critical to ensure Fidelity is able to successfully offer our Advice Solutions through record keepers to plan sponsors and ultimately participants providing the right solutions to each of these clients. As a member of this team, you will be expected to develop and execute on strategies that supports product penetration and builds strong client relationships

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 The Director of Off-Platform Advice (OPA) Operations develops the roadmap to scale the off-platform managed account product (PASW), including technology-enabled improvements as well as process changes, so the business can reach its significant growth targets with minimized risk exposure. The Director will be responsible for leading the development of product enhancements; and will be the business lead in driving requirements development, building the enhancements, and rolling them out to the marketplace. The Director will also serve as the Pricing, Fees and Billing expert within the OPA business and will play point on all questions or issues that arise related to fees or billing across PASW. The Expertise We're Looking For * Bachelor's Degree * 10 plus years of financial services experience, including planning, guidance, managed account services or other asset allocation products. * Experience with DC plan implementations and recordkeeping systems strongly desired * Experience with defined contribution plans and 401(k) operations * Understanding of financial markets, including financial planning concepts; and knowledge of or experience with the Fidelity Non-Discretionary Advice and Guidance Tools desired The Purpose of Your Role PASW is a rapidly-growing and complex product offering, and the OPA Operations team is relied upon by many different groups to ensure the scalability of the platform. The team has varied roles, managing technical enhancements to optimize the product, triaging and resolving any issues that arise, and acting as general subject matter experts to a wide range of stakeholders. On any given day, you might interact with Strategic Advisers, Fidelity Clearing and Custody (FCCS), Client Experience and Fidelity Institutional Asset Management (FIAM). The Skills You Bring * You have excellent product development, product management and product support skills, particularly with technology-based solutions; problem-solving, ability to simplify complex issues, and focus on results * Your strong project management skills allow you to lead cross functional teams to implement broad scale initiatives * You have strong analytical skills and must be comfortable with reading data / analysis and summarizing learning and turning them in actionable strategies * You are a fast learner and are comfortable serving as a subject matter expert * Your flexibility enables you to manage multiple projects and change in a fast-paced environment * You are self-motivated and able to manage within a matrix organization structure where collaboration is required; you have strong interpersonal skills * You have an ability to think from the outside-in/client-perspective, while understanding business constraints and objectives * Your excellent judgment, problem solving, decision making and communication skills enable you to provide creative and effective solutions to complex problems The Value You Deliver * Serve as champion and subject matter expert on OPA managed accounts, providing business leadership with the support of the OPA Business Team, in partnership with business unit Product Management and other key stakeholders including Distribution, Legal/Risk/Compliance, Strategic Advisers, and Managed Advisory Solutions Technology Group * Serve as business lead for key product development efforts supporting operational stability and scalability: define objectives for product enhancements and provide leadership to broad development team (including technology, project management, Strategic Advisers, and other key business partners), provide direction for business requirements and prioritization, serve as product SME, and providing business leadership for build and implementation. Interface with key partners including Strategic Advisers, project management, client management, technology, asset management, and marketing/participant experience teams. * Support and provide business direction for technology projects to stabilize and scale the PASW platform: opportunity sizing, business requirements and prioritization, scalability/stability impact, budgets, stakeholder support and communication and interaction with all supporting functions including marketing, legal, systems, product and associate readiness. * Work with internal stakeholders on client fit, functionality and enablement. * Support sales and contracts to determine ability for business to support client requests. * Partner with FI Operations to identify and execute improvements to key business processes (e.g., pricing, re-pricing, contracts, etc.) and a stronger quality program in support of rapid growing business * Coordinate with legal all updates or changes to required documents (i.e. ADVs) * Serve as subject matter expert on PASW pricing, incentives, fees, billing and the fee credit mechanism. * Drive all product development efforts related to pricing, incentives, fees or billing. * Understand and represent business requirements both inside and outside of the team; represent the fees and billing point of view throughout multiple channels and products * Work with sales, marketing and participant adoption teams to identify opportunities to enhance pricing, incentives, fees and billing to drive greater adoption and improved scalability.
