As the Director of Product Experience Interaction & Design, you will drive the experiential products from conceptual/mockup phase to Ship/field deployments stage by managing requirements, facilitating creation, and participating in the integration into the operation and into the hands of guests/crew.

In collaboration with digital experience producers and leadership, you will guide aesthetic, function, and interaction implementation and assist with navigating interactions with external disciplines such as Marketing and Business development teams. You will collaborate with other disciplines to architect and implement appropriate systems for mockup, production and eventual operation. You will oversee necessary intersections of digital software experience design such as Conceptual Flow, Experiential Requirements, Interaction Architecture, UI Layout, Visual/Motion Development, and Artistic Review/Sign-off. As director/manager you will be expected to define and maintain experience system design standards to assist with peer and partner organizations development of experiences that fit a related flow and visual style. Your role will be hands on, with a combination of supervision and direct involvement in early design development into implementation review.

You will also oversee and assign work to team members (internal, contract, or external vendor) who are active in designing product experiences and collaborate on successful implementation of Guest Experience Initiatives by shepherding digital experience application designs into acceptance and use on ship and in destinations.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the design and enablement of interactive experience products within the Ocean Platform through strategic blending and integration of new digital technology with existing brand solutions.

  • Liaise with Ocean and Brand teams to provide direction on finding the most operationally fluid manner to enable new Ocean Experiences.

  • Define creative digital experience playbook and roadmaps for future brand adoptions.

  • Actively engage with Ocean Medallion Experience ideation and design teams to advise on the operational feasibility and execution of new concepts.

  • Partnering with experience design & product delivery teams to document UX experience requirements and track progress of product UX/UI/IA design.

  • Partnering with experience development & product delivery teams to document experience design / UX requirements

  • Influence key stakeholders and delivery teams about the interaction design strategies and approach.

  • UX Design Standards coordination and evolution.

  • Lead design discussions associated with digital software requirements impacting platform API's and digital experience application architecture.

  • Lliaison between digital production and other disciplines for mockup and evolution of production systems

  • Develop user research plans for experience pilots.

  • Supporting and consulting on the usability feedback and evolution of live product and providing ongoing Quality evaluations.

  • Development of digital experience design resource plans and scope of work documents.

  • Guidance of the design process across internal and vendor teams to ensure project goals, objectives, and parameters are met.

  • Ensures Operational Readiness of solutions by conducting design reviews to assure that implementations align with initial solution.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Business, Management or other equivalent is required. Master's degree in a Business related field is preferred.

  • 15+ years experience in driving major corporate initiatives or product releases.
