Position Overview:

The Director of Program Management is responsible for leading corporate functional groups, and external development partners, for the overall development and execution of new programs and technology implementation plans. The role will facilitate clear outlines of scope, objectives and goals, and the successful execution of program all activities and provide global oversight of all program efforts from project inception to production and commercial launch. This role will provide leadership to Program Managers/Project Manager(s) and work with functional group management to ensure all project elements and milestones are met and continually aligned with corporate strategies and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates with all functional area VP's and Management staff in establishing overall program goals, scope, resources, and the plans for execution.

  • Provides leadership to Program Management Office to help ensure that Program Managers and cross-functional initiatives and efforts align with overall business strategies in order to achieve successful outcomes per established goals and objectives.

  • Assists in directing teams responsible for the development of all approved programs and products.

  • Responsible for maintaining a cohesive interface between all functional groups in support of corporate goals, objectives, Responsibilities: and continuous alignment in the program execution.

  • Provides unbiased perspective of program status.

  • Identify and escalate potential issues or road-blocks.

  • Reports on wellness of all program elements to executive sponsors as necessary.

  • Communicate decisions of executive sponsors across all tiers of the organization.

  • Serve as primary communications conduit to external partners and internal cross-functional project teams executing project tasks and details.

  • Hire, manage, and mentor staff for individual development and overall department future growth.

  • Performs duties as required.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.

  • Proven record of practiced product development and implementation

  • Experienced with managing suppliers, external partners, and internal staff (at all levels)

  • Noteworthy experience in project management with demonstrated utilization of PM skills and tools is required.

  • Experience in the medical device industry is required with knowledge related to FDA design control process.

  • Project and personnel management experience is required.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • 10+ years of related experience with practiced engineering implementation within related field preferred

  • Ability to influence and manage others both as direct reports, and matrix reports.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate to all levels of within the organization.

  • Computer proficiency skills, MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio etc.

  • Ability to organize and direct project teams.

  • Ability to organize and judge priorities.

  • Ability to handle multiple efforts simultaneously.

  • Ability to generate and maintain accurate program genealogy.

Physical Requirements:

  • Overnight Travel

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $173,900.00 - $261,200.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
