The Director Procurement is responsible for administering the inventory system, providing reports as needed. The Director of Purchasing handles in-house non-stock orders, delegates printing, maintains forms and control files.
Education and Training/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Business education preferred. Experience may be accepted in lieu of formal training
Two years experience in inventory control is desired.
Familiarity with and knowledge of medical and healthcare supplies.
Training to orient the experienced person to the institution's specific inventory system.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors and staff.
Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards.
