Make a difference every day. Major responsibilities of the Director position include:
Create a culture of support within the school (for staff, families and children).
Ensuring health & safety in all aspects of the school
Learn all essential functions for each position in the school so you can support and inspire.
Manage daily operation of the school.
Assist the Executive Director to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control.
Plan student transitions with Education Coach & Executive Director.
Host transition meetings with students.
Oversee facility and support staff.
Regulatory and accreditation compliance.
Nightly staff communication
Scheduling & daily ratio checks
Staff files
Oversee medication and allergy management.
Oversee neighborhood walking and playground trips.
Monitor monthly health and safety paperwork including: infant sleep checks, kitchen logs, daily activities on Procare app, daily classroom opening and closing checklists, etc.
Probationary goal setting with new staff
Biannual staff evaluations
Conduct monthly fire drills and lockdown drills.
Monitor health and safety routine sin the classroom for compliance.
Maintain accident / incident reports and statement of illness forms. Contact families where necessary.
Participate in School Emergency Response Team. Conduct monthly SERT meetings with Leadership Team.
Develop and maintain updates for the Safe School Plan, Emergency & Evacuation binders.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
A strong commitment to building positive relationships with families and the community.
A Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required.
Valid NYS B-2 teaching certification required.
Minimum three years in NYC in a Leadership role in a school.
At least two years of experience as a group teacher in a program for children under six years of age
Proven track record of successfully managing a private pre-school, including enrollment, budget and financial performance accountability
CPR / First Aid certified required
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Salary compensation starting at $95,000, dependent on experience and education
Compensation: $95,000.00 per year
