Job Summary: Responsible for all hospital owned practices.


Responsible for all aspects of practice development including


, regulatory requirements, productivity bench marking, managed care concerns and business growth.# Responsible for the operational development of day-to-day practice concerns including staff recruitment, development, and education.# Responsible for the development and maintenance of practice budgets, both operational and capital.# # Job Specifications: Education:#Bachelors Degree; Masters Preferred in Healthcare Administration or Public Administration Training and Experience: A minimum of five (5) year#s previous experience in management or supervision in the ambulatory care setting preferred. Job Knowledge: Understanding of all aspects of Practice Management including principles of budget development, financial management, physician service billing, and human resource skills.


Job Responsibilities:


1.### Plan, organize, and direct overall service operation (all hospital-owned practices, Specialty, Primary Care and Urgent Cares). 2.### Participate in development of goals and objectives for the organization including mentoring and directing the activities of the MMA salaried and hourly staff. 3.# ## Ensure that an effective Performance Improvement (PI) program is in place for all departments of MMA. 4.### Keep administration informed of departmental activities, needs, regulatory issues, etc., through preparation of clear, concise administrative reports at regular intervals. 5.### Through physician quarterly meetings, keep MMA providers apprised of current business developments, provide a forum for discussion and resolution of common concerns, and promote organizational consistency and cohesiveness within the medical group. 6.### Standardize business operations and clinical processes to achieve best practice. 7.### #Assure excellent orientation and continuing education of all MMA supervisory staff. 8.### Maintains advanced skills in all areas of Medical Practice Management through continuing education and literature review. 9.### Meet regularly with physicians and mid-level providers to discuss practice concerns, staff concerns, revenue enhancement/expense reduction opportunities and business development concerns. 10.# Coordinate physician and mid-level provider contracts. 11## Monitor physician and mid-level provider productivity. 12. Coordinate Joint Commission and other governmental and industry regulatory requirements for the practice setting and the connection to Memorial Healthcare. 13.##Facilitate the integration of the MMA Corporate Compliance Plan into each practice setting. 14.##Improve and refine current services and promote new business services as appropriate. 15.##Develop and manage the operational and capital budgets. 16.##Analyze managed care data/reports for providers and participate in providing physician feedback and implementing appropriate recommendations. 17.##Demonstrate ability to resolve conflicts and problems effectively and timely, including patient and physician complaint resolution. 18. #Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. 19.##Responsible for preparation of materials for quarterly physician meetings and the facilitation of those meetings. 20.##Responsible for preparation of materials for quarterly staff meetings and the facilitation of those meetings. 21.##Negotiate contracts with outside vendors and private contractors for services provided to MMA. 22.##Develop/coordinate and implement staff/physician incentive programs. 23.##Demonstrates knowledge of and supports MMA mission, vision and value statements, standard policies, procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statement, corporate compliance plan and code of ethical behavior. 24.##Assists Chief Financial Officer in developing and implementing the strategic long and short-range plans and the business plan. 25.##Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment and high-quality patient care. # IV.###### Special Requirements: # 1. ####### Leadership skills 2. ####### Verbal and written communication skills. 3. ####### Public speaking and group process facilitation 4. ####### Budget management 5. ####### Multi-task management.
