The Director of Practice Management Operations reports to the hospital CEO, and is responsible for directing and supervising the day-to-day functions of multi-site employed physician practices and clinics owned by the hospital, in accordance with federal and state guidelines and regulations, Joint Commission standards, CHS policy, and as directed by the CEO. Provides overall operational leadership and financial management to the employed physician practices and clinics.
Works closely with physicians, mid-level providers, and staff to ensure efficient operations that maximize physician productivity while rendering quality patient care. Establishes physician practice productivity standards using MGMA guidelines; communicates, collaborates, and works with employed physicians to meet designated productivity standards. Conducts financial reviews of clinic operations with employed physicians on a monthly basis. Hires, manages and evaluates the administrative and non-physician clinical staff at all sites. Provides informational support for evaluation of regulations, procedures and practices. Financial management responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring budget(s), exploring revenue enhancement opportunities, capital expenditures, ensuring cost efficiencies, creating and analyzing reports and utilizing operational data to assist with improving the financial performance of each practice operation. This position also assists with the on boarding process for new physicians (employed and non-employed), and participates on various hospital committees; works closely with supervisors/managers/directors of all services, to ensure quality of care for all patients and to achieve optimal clinic operations.
