NBCU is converging our linear & digital properties onto a single technology stack and streamlining business processes across the enterprise in order to maximize inventory and yield.

The Director of Platform Solutions will primarily be responsible for formulating and executing on strategic initiatives in the area of convergence across the portfolio for Planning, Inventory, Insights & Measurement by working with both vendors and internal development/technology teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead as a Product Manager to formulate designs, write stories, set priorities and perform UAT

  • Lead group meetings with regards to the both vendor and internal systems and business process; Planning, Inventory, Sales Ops, Insights & Measurement, and Finance

  • Manage the relationships with internal clients across each business group; process, system requirements, training, implementation of large initiatives

  • Manage timelines, project plans, day to day relationship, priorities and development of internal strategic applications.

  • Partner closely with IT/Technology counterparts and vendor on the product roadmap and strategy; prioritizing enhancements and defects based on business needs

  • Provide regular updates to management across multiple projects



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • Minimum of 8 years experience preferably in the area of Planning or Planning systems either vendor created or custom built.

Additional skill requirements:

  • Must have linear and/or digital Planning experience

  • Some experience in application development (Agile) preferred

  • Experience working directly in media, as it relates to display, video, mobile, audience and inventory platforms

  • An attention to detail while reviewing project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project requirements

  • Ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex concepts for a variety of audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles and negotiate resolutions to complex problems

  • Ability to organize meetings including creating pertinent agendas, managing conversations, and summarizing the results into a set of decisions made and next steps

The incumbent is expected to serve as a liaison with the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Corporate Equity Solutions group to deliver on growth opportunity to employees of corporations we service. The overall goal and vision of Corporate Solutions is to create a corporate experience and a consistent corporate employee experience and to engage them throughout their financial life journey that will ultimately lead to a furthering and deepening of their Morgan Stanley Wealth Management relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, collaboration and organization and project management skills, a thorough understanding of applied statistics theory, as well as have a strong command of advanced analytic data mining/machine learning/optimization software packages including Python, SAS and SQL. Candidate must have significant hands-on experience managing and applying an advanced analytics/predictive modeling process to produce best in class predictive models, and behavioral segmentation. Principal Responsibilities: * Develop and implement a method to measure the end to end efficacy for the employee prospecting conversion programs * Identify the broad tactics that work and don't work and which sub segments of the corporate employee population these tactics best work for * Provide guidance, direction, and oversight on program test design including the build out of control groups and measurement plan for each type of program being deployed * Serve as the key liaison with the Corporate Solutions team to set validation engagements, timelines and deliverables to facilitate the independent validation of their programs Required Skills: * Work effectively in cross-functional teams, having demonstrated strong partnerships with both internal and external business partners and alliances * Demonstrated ability to collect and organize data, work effectively with complex relational databases, conduct analysis and report on and apply results to "actionable insights / recommendations" * Solid data modeling experience is required with proven application in applying Decision Trees, Regression analysis, Neural Networks, Clustering and other data mining techniques, experience with time series, experimental design and attribution rules * Power user of SQL, SAS Base/Stat/Macro, R, Python and other statistical software packages, with Enterprise Miner experience a plus * Strong written communication skills with proven ability to explain complex statistical theory and methods as well as outline applied business solutions * Self-starter with strong and creative problem-solving skills * Need to be able to succinctly communicate ideas, recommendations orally and in writing to a wide range of audiences, as well as exceptional listening and presentation skills * 10 years of financial services related work experience * Related financial services industry experience for at least 5 years is Required * Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required with advanced business or applied mathematics degree required * MBA, Master of Science or PHD in applied science discipline is preferred * Strong deterministic analytic leadership experience with limited day-to-day direction required by manager Morgan Stanley New York NY
