We are seeking an experienced and innovative individual to join our team as the Director of Program Planning, Controls, and Earned Value Management.

This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing program planning, control, and earned value management functions to ensure successful delivery of defense programs within scope, schedule, and budget.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive program planning strategies to align with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Lead the establishment and maintenance of program controls, including cost tracking, budget management, and performance measurement.

  • Design and implement processes and procedures for Earned Value Management (EVM) across all defense programs.

  • Establish training programs for program teams on EVM principles, procedures, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of EVM into program planning and control processes.

  • Manage resources dedicated to program planning, control, and earned value management activities.

  • Monitor program performance, milestones, and deliverables to identify and address deviations from planned objectives.

  • Conduct regular assessments of program risks and implement mitigation strategies as needed.

  • Drive continuous improvement in EVM processes and tools to enhance program performance and compliance.

  • Provide leadership and guidance on EVM implementation and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Extensive experience in program planning, control, and Earned Value Management within the defense industry.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex defense programs using EVM principles.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Certification in Earned Value Management (such as PMI's EVP or similar) is highly desirable.
