Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated leader specializing in Planning and Analytics. As a Director of Planning & Analytics, you will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of innovative planning and analytics solutions for Vuori. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization and strategy to execution and enhancement, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

This role requires deep understanding of end to end planning process, solutions and analytics involved in envisioning a data enabled planning framework that can be enabled based on prioritization and value in an iterative manner.

The leader should be able to influence business leadership, partner with technology team and articulate a business value driven roadmap to enable end to end planning using innovative tools.

Applying AI and analytic capabilities in planning solution will be a key differentiator. Ability to traverse the organization with top down and bottom up thinking of defining and enabling capabilities is critical to this role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Product Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision and roadmap for planning and analytics solutions, considering market trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback.

  • Requirement Gathering: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business operations and planning, data scientists, and application teams, to gather and prioritize requirements for planning tools, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.

  • Product Development: Lead the agile development process, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization, to deliver high-quality planning and analytics features and enhancements on time and within budget.

  • Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement in planning processes, inventory management, sales forecasting among other planning related functions

  • User Experience (UX) Design: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for planning and analytics tools, ensuring an optimal user experience for both internal stakeholders and external customers.

  • Performance Tracking: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of planning and analytics solutions, regularly monitoring and analyzing performance data to drive continuous improvement.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product updates, milestones, and roadblocks effectively to internal stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and priorities.

  • Market Research: Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in planning capabilities, conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven track record of 3+ years of experience in product management & 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in the retail industry, with a focus on planning and analytics solutions.

  • Deep experience in retail/wholesale planning required. 5+ years experience in enabling planning capabilities in retail apparel/footwear space

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, prioritize effectively, and make data-driven decisions to drive product success.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, and familiarity with product management tools such as Jira.

  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning, with a proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $187,000-$220,000/yr
