Responsible for all facets of the physician recruitment process including the assuring validation of the decision to add or replace a physician has occurred prior to starting a search and the marketing of McLaren as a preferred destination to practice medicine. Further responsibilities include management of recruiting resources and external recruiters; physician recruitment budget; physician candidate database and physician recruitment web-site; advertising design; and sourcing of candidates; screening and referencing candidates; contract negotiations. Takes a lead role of providing service to the subsidiaries in the hiring of all physicians system-wide.
Interprets, communicates, and assures the implementation of the system's mission statement.
Responsible for developing and managing a centralized physician recruitment function that utilizes best practice to exceed customer expectations and make McLaren the employer of choice for physicians.
Creates standardization in the usage of outside recruiting resources, in how decisions to recruit are made, how offers of employment are structured and the brand image of McLaren to the physician community.
Develops and deploys a centralized e-recruit strategy and portal along with other sourcing initiatives such as job fairs and all forms of advertising.
Partners with GME leaders to assure that the system maximizes the placement of new physicians from within its existing training programs.
Reports to Physician Recruitment Advisory Board that oversees the effectiveness of the physician recruitment processes across the system.
Assures all candidates are properly screened prior to interviews and properly referenced prior to offer.
Develops and maintains high-touch and best practice methods that create value for both the hiring subsidiaries and the physician candidates. Must be viewed as a valued service provider and partner to subsidiaries.
Partners with Corporate Human Resources to assure that physician benefits and compensation are standardized and eliminate competition for talent across the system.
Utilize necessary internal and external resources to assure that all hiring processes, as well as terms and conditions of employment meet all legal and regulatory guidelines.
Manage all external physician recruiting resources to minimize cost and maximize efficiency.
Responsible for managing metrics around cost per hire, length of searches and physician retention. Must be able to benchmark and achieve best practice in core measures of the hiring and on-boarding process.
Develops and maintains employment contract templates, knowledge of market trends in both physician compensation and benefits.
Manages all staff, resources and budgets associated with the physician recruitment process.
Partners with MHCC executive leadership, subsidiary management, system finance and other departments to assure that a standardized, efficient and effective process is maintain to approve the hiring of physicians.
Works with subsidiary physician liaisons to schedule logistics around recruitment process and all on-boarding issues.
Bachelors degree in marketing, public relations, business or related field.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in physician recruitment either in a recruiting firm or within a health care provider.
Masters degree in related field.
Work experience in both the health care environment and health care consulting.
