About the Position

Reporting to the Head of People Operations, the Director of People Technology leads the delivery of HR technology and related process optimization. This includes a complex suite of systems covering HCM (Workday), talent acquisition and management, rewards and recognition, and integrations. Your work will involve regular communication with senior leadership on project status and risks, and leading several global technology programs to successful implementation.


  • Manage all aspects of people technology and related operations, staff, processes, data flows, security, and reporting

  • Bring leading people technology practices to Twitch; work with People Partners, Generalists, COEs and business leaders to understand needs and identify optimal uses of people technology

  • Improve technology to meet workforce requirements creating opportunities for automation, reduction, and elimination of manual processes

  • Analyze data, identify important trends, and prepare well-written, concise executive narratives

  • Manage multiple programs with teams focused on the timely and successful delivery of a product or system

  • Manage vendors to ensure alignment with our goals, service delivery accountability, SLA's, and budgets

  • Provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints

  • Focus heavily on collaboration to ensure key decisions and status surrounding technology projects are clear to all

  • Set and continuously monitor service level agreements with the business and meet or exceed agreements

  • Lead and develop people technology staff

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience leading people technology and staff and managing Workday

  • 5 years Workday administration

  • Full-scale people tech change management experience

  • Focus on business-to-technology translation

  • Business advisory skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience

The Director of People Operations spans a broad range of responsibilities including workforce planning, full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, employee development and training, compensation, benefits, wellness and leaves of absence. Acts as a liaison and advisor to management and employees. </p><p><strong>Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):</strong></p><p>● <strong><i>Build the people strategy: </i></strong>Work with executives and leadership to understand strategic and operational objectives and develop organizational models and hiring plans to support goals</p><ul> <li> <strong>Focus on belonging</strong>: Own internal diversity and belonging efforts, to span everything from policy to training to bonding and educational efforts.</li> <li> <strong><i>Hire:</i></strong> Refine recruiting processes and deliver high caliber hires, through a combination of internal work and consultants.</li> <li> <strong><i>Reward our talent: </i></strong><ul> <li>Determine compensation and benefit packages based on industry standards and our goal of being a “the best place our employees have ever worked.”</li> <li>Administer performance evaluation process as well as organizational wage and salary programs.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <strong><i>Ensure our people are happy: </i></strong><ul> <li>Own the people satisfaction metric (is Fellow the best place you’ve ever worked?) and put all your effort into making that resounding YES.</li> <li>Design, oversee and manage HR programs such as service awards, employee recognition, and corporate social responsibility.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <strong>Help our employees grow and develop</strong>: Design, develop, and implement training and organizational development initiatives.</li> <li> <strong>Communicate</strong>: Own regular company updates and one off communications related to initiatives or organizational changes.</li> <li> <strong>Measure what matters</strong>: Utilize HRIS to proactively monitor staffing, employment activity, turnover and other HR metrics</li> <li> <strong>Policy and process development</strong>:<ul><li>Set up policies and processes to ensure seamless Fellow operations.
