Position Summary:

Apellis is seeking an individual to lead our People Services & Technology (PS&T) team. The PS&T team is an integral part of the HR Team at Apellis and is responsible for enabling processes and programs to support Apellucians through the employee life cycle from on-boarding to off-boarding; as well as providing support to HRBP's and the HR function for operational matters.

The Director, People Services & Technology will lead the strategy and execution of our growing team to create the vision and roadmap for the function, which includes on-boarding, HRIS / HR systems, policies and procedures, compliance, and global expansion.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leadership of the PS&T team by hiring and developing talent as well as creating opportunities through growth of the PS&T group

  • Create a PS&T framework for global expansion to new markets / countries in partnership with International HR

  • Own, manage, and implement all HR-related systems (in partnership with IT) including HRIS, Greenhouse (ATS), Lattice, and other HR and people systems

  • Own, manage, and evolve on-boarding for new-hires at Apellis focusing on creating a seamless experience for new employees and managers

  • Design, manage and administer People Services operational processes that support Apellis' business needs. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop or update processes, as needed, to ensure they are effective, efficient, and scale as Apellis grows

  • Continue to evolve the People Services support model as the organization grows and matures, establishing plans for expanded service offerings and support across multiple countries

  • Work with the team to develop clear instructions and tools that help all stakeholders understand how to access and use People Services for Apellis

  • Drive continuous improvement in the functionality and user experience of our systems, tools, and standard/operational reporting capabilities in partnership with our IT team

  • Provide thought leadership proactively within broader HR team

  • Own HR Compliance procedures such as AAP, EEO-1, and other reporting

Education, Registration & Certification:

  • BS in business, technology, or related fields

  • Master's Degree (preferred)

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience within HR Systems including HR operations, Talent Operations, or Shared Services

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of relevant HRIS and HR or Talent Acquisition systems

  • Demonstrated skills in project and program management

  • Demonstrated complex problem-solving ability and sound judgement ability

  • Strong leadership, team building, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

  • Highly organized, results driven, problem solver

  • Superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to work across different levels of management

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel Requirements:

  • Expected travel to the Company's headquarters.

  • Additional travel may be required

VIEW JOBS 10/22/2021 12:00:00 AM 2022-01-20T00:00 <p>As a member of the newly-formed Infrastructure Technology Team, this individual will be essential in providing technical support for the Evolv Community and delivering Workstations to our new hires. </p><p>This individual will provide Level 1 Infrastructure Technical Support to the workforce, including workstation management and assisting with Level 2 escalated issues. You will also be involved with the troubleshooting, imaging, building workstations, and network-related infrastructure services, including DHCP, connecting to Wireless Access Points, VoIP Telephony, and Video Conferencing.</p><p>Your priorities will focus on workstation support for the Waltham, MA office, supporting applications and workflows cross-functionally. Developing documentation for training, coaching, and supporting the employees will also be required.</p><p>You will face challenges that will require you to use some of your problem-solving skills to work against unexpected issues for our in-house and remote employees, consultants. In addition to providing technical support, under the direct supervision of the Senior IT Director, additional tasks and projects will be assigned based on the department's quarterly OKRs to improve business productivity, security and enhance the environment for streamlining process procedures.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES </strong></p><ul> <li>Provide day-to-day Level 1 technical support by responding to incoming phone calls, tickets, and assignments designated by the Senior Infrastructure Technology Director.</li> <li>New Hire/User Account Setup and user account administration (password reset, group permissions, video conferencing, application management and installs, etc.)</li> <li>Track and Log incoming support calls and tickets, following issues through to resolution in a timely fashion.</li> <li>Be hands-on with multiple versions of Operating Systems, including Microsoft Windows and Android/Mac-iOS devices. You will learn to configure and use the Linux Ubuntu Desktop OS.</li> <li>Enforce Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware Systems and policies preventing the corporation's workstations and hosted devices from being compromised, hacked, and protecting proprietary data and data storage.</li> <li>Providing customer service, organizational, and communication skills is a must, as is the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, providing onboarding and basic step-by-step training to the end-user community.</li> <li>Maintain and update the I.T. Manual of Operating Procedures by developing instruction sets, detailed diagrams and enforcing adherence to detailed policy and procedure documents.</li> <li>Perform hardware/software/firmware upgrades to existing systems and workstation equipment as required. Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting software used throughout the organization, including assisting Finance, Human Resources, and Development Teams with the On-site and Hosted Applications.</li> <li>Administration of the Corporate Enterprise Standard Applications Microsoft Office365 user platform, Shared Drives, Slack, Anti-Virus, Mobile Device Management, and Remote Administration Tools.</li> <li>Update and maintain Evolv inventory, assets, software keys, password databases, and software licensing within the Infrastructure Technology online database system. </li> <li>Research of New Technology solutions for implementation within the organization, including the evaluation of different solutions for comparison and present to Infrastructure Technology Leader</li> <li>Protect the entire Evolv Infrastructure to support both current and future growth of the organization.
