The Director of People Group Operations will provide strong and effective leadership, direction, and professional expertise in all areas of human resources operations, including People Group Administration and Global Shared Services, Compliance, Communications, Performance Management, and Team Member Experience. The Director will guide People Group operations and align policies, practices, procedures, and systems to the company's strategic business objectives, and will ensure the delivery of proactive customer service, process improvement, and business-focused People Group advice and services. Key functions of this role:
Project Management
Leads and oversees HR projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
Utilizes strong project management skills to drive efficiency and effectiveness in HR operations.
Workday Expertise
Serves as a key point of contact for Workday, ensuring optimal utilization of the system.
Leverages Workday skills to enhance HR processes, reporting, and analytics.
Data Analytics
Utilizes data analytics tools to extract insights, assess HR metrics, and inform strategic decision-making.
Drives data-driven approaches to enhance HR operations and employee experiences.
Offshore Management
Manages and coordinates HR shared services operations offshore in India and Portugal.
Ensures seamless collaboration, effective communication, and adherence to global HR standards.
Workforce Planning
Develops and implements strategic workforce planning initiatives to align with organizational goals.
Analyzes talent needs, identifies skill gaps, and implements plans for recruitment, training, and development.
Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results
People:
Works collaboratively with a variety of internal stakeholders including, Community Relations, Corporate Awards, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, and the People Group Strategic Talent Business Partners to ensure successful administration, service, and implementation of People Group processes, procedures, and policies
Communicates and advocates for team members to ensure they are supported and receive development to be successful in their work
Responsible for hands-on day to day People Group operations while focusing on process improvement and Team Member Experience
Coaches and leads the daily operations of the People Group Operations team which includes staffing, development, coaching and support
Client:
Identifies optimal solutions that meet the needs of the People Group Operations function by recommending process improvements, system enhancements and alternatives based on specific needs
Supports development, creation, and maintenance of electronic employee records in Workday
Builds and maintains collaborative relationships across Ryan, LLC
Engages and collaborates with key stakeholders to create new processes and improve current processes
Oversees Workday HCM initiatives including change management procedures including prioritizing requests, testing, change approvals and training of new processes
Value:
Continuously works to build People Group Operations team performance and improve transactional efficiency.
Performs reporting and analytics to share departmental service level objectives, success areas, and trends finding opportunities for improvement
Plans, organizes, and coordinates the activities related to the People Group operations and functions
Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, minimum of 10 years of work experience with at least 5 years in one area of Human Resources
Previous leadership experience required
Workday HCM experience required
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for influencing decisions
Detail-oriented, with strong quantitative and qualitative output
Hands-on professional with creative and conceptual skills, adept at managing complex issues and exceeding company goals
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferred
Proven leadership managing diverse teams, motivating, and coaching effectively
Ability to proactively guide People Group initiatives, policies, and large, complex projects
Ability to solicit and provide feedback to/from stakeholders and direct reports
Strategic perspective, able to align business needs with People Group processes for positive impact
Familiarity with State, Federal, Global employment laws
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have solid skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Internet navigation and research. Workday HCM experience is a must.
Certificates and Licenses:
Driver's license required
PHR certification required; SPHR and/or PMP certification preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly and indirectly supervises employees on the HR team and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm's policies and applicable laws.
Work Environment:
Standard indoor working environment.
Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm in person and via e-mail and telephone.
Independent travel requirement: Up to 10-20%.
