We are hiring a Director of People Operations to set the strategy and lead the day to day of our People team's infrastructure, processes, and programs in service of our mission to ensure all employees are engaged, valued and enabled to do their best work.

Key Responsabilities

  • Serve as a key leader of the People Leadership team, reporting directly to our Global People and Culture leader

  • Lead the talent acquisition team with a vision to implement best in class practices for hiring top talent ensuring an incredible candidate experience for each of our prospective team members

  • Identify operational weaknesses and bring innovative solutions to our table, with the goals of maximizing engagement, and increasing operational efficiency

  • Set up and oversee our HR systems and records and vendor programs and processes, enabling us to use our tools in the most efficient and effective way possible. This includes onboarding, offboarding and all of the systems in-between, including Compensation and Benefits Administration.

  • Lead our Total Rewards programs, including playing a key role in shaping and iterating on our Compensation Programs and framework

  • Deliver top of the line benefits to our teams across the globe, including well-being plans, parental leave programs, pension plans and more.

  • Be the expert resource for all compliance and legal employment matters in multiple countries across North America and EMEA.


  • 7+ years of experience building and implementing high-impact and scalable People Operations programs and initiatives

  • Proven ability to make data-driven, objective decisions

  • Demonstrated exceptional project management experience

  • Deep knowledge of industry trends and best practices, as well as regulatory requirements in both the US and Europe

  • Proven success building and leading high-impact teams across multiple locations

  • Ability to operationalize complex People programs through process improvement, systems integration, end-user training, and thoughtful change management

Purpose The role holder is a member of the Marine Claims Team ensuring settlement of valid claims/recourses at a reasonable cost as quickly as possible, in accordance with the Division's own service standards, local (FSMA / AFM) regulations and legal requirements. 2. Dimensions The role involves supporting the development of the legal entity claims strategy. Claims reporting and further development of claims MI. Keeping track of the claims KPI"s , risk framework, support the development of effective controls and manager the claims assistants and their workload 3. Key Result Areas Claims operations * Oversee and impove MS Amlin's Claims procedures and processes, create alignment across the offices * System improvement and alignment * Join operations meetings * Monitor the use of service providers in accordance with the MS Amlin Claim policy. In addition to supply input into the procurement of service provider networks, including feedback as to provider service quality. * Data analysis and develop additional claims reports * Ensure that the claims data within the IT system(s) is accurate and up to date, in accordance with claims procedures. To work as part of the Claims team ensuring service is delivered on time and to the highest standards, aiming to meet and exceed the expectations of both internal and external customers in all aspects of recovery. To build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in and outside the business. Organisation and prioritization of work Required to organize and control his/her work in an efficient manner, in accordance with the procedures. To be able to prioritize work on a daily basis in line with the division'service standards and local Regulations. To make maximum use of deployed claim systems, managing files to reduce claims cost. Compliance, Regulatory and Legal To maintain an up to date working knowledge of both the legal requirements governing the Marine market, i.e.: Civil Procedure Rules, relevant court decisions and the division's own service standards and policies including fraud indicators. Accountable for ensuring own knowledge meets current external regulatory requirements, ie: VNAB agreements Technical Knowledge Whilst sustaining an up to date working knowledge in accordance with Service Standards, legal and regulatory requirements, the individual is required to maintain a good all round working claims knowledge to effectively resolve recoveries. In particular softer skills should include negotiation, communication and relationship building skills. Administration All applicable administration and housekeeping duties to include external correspondence, post, scanning and structure of files relating to recourse files should be processed and recorded in both an accurate and timely manner to ensure the meeting of the department's business plan objectives, service standards and personal objectives. Systems Work To ensure all required correspondence is entered and recorded accurately and within set timescales onto the division's system. Reporting and Auditing Responsible for assisting the Claim Director and the rest of the team in reporting and auditing duties in accordance with service standards on a monthly basis, to include: * File audits * Data accuracy * Diary on files Project Work Participation To assist the Claim Manager and / or the Division in project work from time to time to aid the achievement of the department's business plan objectives, for example business planning, claims system and broker reviews. Ad-hoc Duties Required to attend team meetings, and undertake any additional relevant duties as required to meet the needs of the Claims Department and / or Division. 4. The Operating Environment and Context of the Job A challenging role within the marine claims department working under pressure to provide an effective and efficient service, maintaining the highest levels of customer care whilst ensuring the Division's own strict service standards, local regulations and legal principles are adhered to.
