To accomplish this objective, continuing the company's growth, globalization, and development, eBay is hiring an individual who has the leadership, professional experience, intellectual prowess, and personal characteristics to assume the position of Director, People Business Partner.

This role will report to a Sr. Director of People and will align to the Core Product Organization.

The ideal candidate will be an influential leader, capable of working with a diverse group of senior leaders with varying styles. This Director will be responsible for understanding the business objectives of eBay and the product organization globally and providing the appropriate people expertise, strategic input, insight, process and/or programs to deliver business results. This candidate must be capable of working in and through a global matrix management environment with both business leaders and People peers.

What You Will Accomplish:

• Strategic People Business Partner: Understand the business and teams supported, top to bottom. Partner with business leaders to develop business objectives and plans understanding how to design and implement People strategies to ensure the organization, capabilities and culture all assist in driving business results.

• Holistic People Management: Understand eBay Inc's overall strategic direction and Shared Purpose.
  
  Provide the appropriate People programs, strategies and processes pertinent to rewards & compensation, staffing, talent management/OD, employee relations and learning to achieve business results. Leverage all People programs, policies, processes and systems. Effectively partner with and fully leverage People corporate functional areas.

• Executive Coaching and Organizational Effectiveness: Strengthen the senior leadership team of each function by providing coaching and counsel to senior executives to further develop their leadership capability. Partner with senior executives and leadership teams of the client organizations to design and build organizational capability to deliver against the strategic goals and objectives of the businesses.

• People Leader: Improve People capability by partnering with other members of the People team to develop and implement new and / or improved programs and processes.
  
  Bring new People expertise and capability to the eBay People team. Participate in the ongoing development of the people org strategic direction for the business and company.

What You Will Bring:

• The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of human resources experience (people), with minimum 7+ years in an increasingly senior and complex global business environment, influencing and driving results.

• Strong business acumen that includes an extensive knowledge of the technology business, a clear understanding of market trends, competition, company policies, procedures, and culture

• Adept stakeholder management skills that include the ability to effectively consult, negotiate, resolve conflict and influence change.

• Strong leadership and coaching skills.

• Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to design and implement creative processes and solutions that drive business results.

• Proven ability to be a visionary, provide strategic thought leadership, think analytically and solve complex issues and challenges.

• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.

• Team player with the ability to facilitate team building, develop effective partnerships and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.

• Bachelor Degree; MBA/Masters preferred

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$160,400 - $254,100

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
