The Director, Patient Care has overall accountability and responsibility for the assigned department(s) at Martin Health System. Collaborates with other leaders, associates, and physicians to execute the corporate goals and objectives of Martin Health System. Mentors direct staff to ensure ongoing professional growth and development.
Accountable for established corporate and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance methods, and safety codes. Demonstrates compliance with licensing, regulatory and accrediting agency provisions as required.
Consistently demonstrates appropriate and professional communication behavior toward patients, customers, and coworkers. Cooperates with Management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
Minimum Requirements (experience, training, and education): The Director, Patient Care must have a Bachelor's Degree in field; a Master's degree in a relevant discipline (nursing, business, healthcare administration, etc.) is preferred. Current enrollment in Bachelor's Degree program is acceptable.
Must have a minimum of five years of progressively more responsible positions with at least three years in a supervisory position in an acute care health system. Clinical certification in a specialty is preferred. A current Florida professional license is required.
