The Director of Partner Finance manages all financial processes associated with vendor partner funding. This includes the identification, filing and full collection of all partner finance monies for the Company, as well as the accounting, planning, forecasting, and financial analysis thereof. This role oversees a combined volume of partner finance programs in excess of $1 billion dollars, with transaction volumes averaging over 10,000 per day. The position is responsible for providing financial business support to the Product & Partner Management function, including delivering C-suite and senior management information through regular business performance reporting.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for financial support to Product & Partner Management.

  • Thought leader for partner finance team, developing vision and strategic direction, driving ad-hoc finance and accounting projects.

  • Provides full financial analysis on all sources of partner funding, including recommendations to the business to leverage potential opportunities.

  • Manages the identification, filing and timely collection of all partner finance claims of CDW within the US.

  • Ensures proper financial controls and requirements of Sarbanes Oxley in the partner finance area.

  • Identifies areas of process improvement and optimization of all partner finance system capabilities. Makes appropriate recommendations and drives to execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage partner finance team, providing leadership, guidance coaching and development opportunities.

  • Creates strategy to maximize partner funding through the identification of further opportunities and partnering with CDW stakeholders to align the relevant business actions.

  • Presents high level reporting and analysis to upper management on partner finance, including DSO, aging, write-offs, adjustments and monthly dashboards.

  • Collaborates with external vendors and proactively works to build and maintain positive working relationships.

  • Works cross-functionally to successfully communicate, track, and collect on partner funding programs.

  • Minimizes write-off losses through the identification of trends leading to root causes, and the implementation of cross functional solutions.

  • Builds bench strength to provide succession and future leaders for the company.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

External candidates:

  • 10 years finance and/or accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibilities
  • 6 years of progressive management experience

Internal candidates:

  • 9 years finance and/or accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibilities
  • 5 years of progressive management experience

Other Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated strategic thinker and leader, with the ability to create and execute on goals.

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 The Supervisor, Partner Finance oversees the billing, claiming, collecting, cash application for Partner Funded Programs offered to CDW from our Vendor Partners. This individual also oversees the regular reporting of balances and DSO efforts for assigned team member. These programs include, but are not limited to, the following examples: Market Development Funds (MDF)/Cooperative Advertising, Sales Incentives (Spiffs), Volume Incentive Rebates (VIR), Rebates, Bids and Partner Funded Headcount. Key Areas of Responsibility * Manage a team of specialists to ensure all partner funded programs are collected in full and in a timely manner, including performance management, coaching, and development. * Act as a liaison between Finance and Partner & Product Management (PPM) to track programs such as marketing plans and VIR programs by quarter and for the full year. * Serve as the primary contact between vendor representatives (Partner) and Partner Finance for the relevant programs. * Manage billing and claiming process for all Vendor Funded Programs: Market Development Funds/Cooperative Advertising, Sales Incentives, VIRs and Partner Funded Headcount. * Manage the distribution of invoices, statements and support (accumulation of proof of performance) for marketing plans to vendors participating in various advertising programs. Manage the distribution of invoices/creation of claims, statements and support (i.e. EDC information) for volume incentive programs. * Handle processing of vendor claims, analyze disputes, and discuss collection issues with PPM. * Ensure the tracking, billing, and collecting for all Sales Incentives. This includes supervising the claiming of HP Spiffs via the Spiff Depot process. * Supervise the cash collection and application process and provide updates on collection issues. * Act as main contact responsible for Peoplesoft Accounts Receivable, Billing and Contracts module. * Coordinate with Specialists and PPM to ensure the effective and timely application of available in-house funds. * Hold team accountable for providing information regarding accounting implications and discrepancies to management, peers and assigned stakeholders. Qualifications Education and/or Experience Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * 5 years' experience in Billing and/or Collections. Other Required Qualifications * Strong analytical skills with critical attention to detail. * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership. * Ability to proactively identify problems and present resolution. * Proven time management and organizational skills. * History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines. * Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.
