Golin San Francisco is looking for a Director of Paid Media to lead digital paid media strategy for two of our predominant global tech and b2b clients. This dynamic role will help to solve business issues by driving a paid media vision with our search and social media teams. And, you'll be an important part of our growing digital team across the US.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive the strategic vision and development of paid media roadmaps to define how digital plays a role in achieving client vision/goals

  • Establish meaningful and measureable KPI's that align with client business objectives

  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams, including creative, to insure we are strategically aligned to idea. Support by ensuring content is aligned to ad formats and features used by major platforms

  • Identify new opportunities to leverage paid media to drive growth and engagement for our clients

  • Develop and maintain relationships with various platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) on behalf of Golin and our clients

  • Be a trend watcher and spotter keeping teams and clients apprised of relevant trends and opportunities that can add value to our clients business. Share best practices amongst the broader US digital team

  • Teach and grow understanding of the paid media ecosystem with internal team members and clients

  • Lead, coach and develop junior talent

What You Have:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, business or related field

  • Proven digital advertising experience

  • Successful track-record of developing trusting client relationships

  • Thorough understanding of the technical aspects of online marketing channels such as web analytics, audience targeting, data feed, pixel remarketing, platform-specific ad format, etc

  • A history of developing and driving integrated paid-media programs

  • Proven experience leading successful digital communications and engagement campaigns with measureable results across paid digital touchpoints including social, search, display and influencers

  • Deep understanding of digital and social media buying landscape

  • Strong understanding of brand and corporate communications

  • Excellent presentation and writing skills

  • Desire for identifying opportunities on behalf of client business and/or Golin

  • Some experience with global brands (not a must but we'd love it)

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: * Manage day-to-day performance across several pay-per-click media channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, Google AdWords and others * Daily monitoring of campaign management of paid social and/or search campaigns including monitoring account and campaign performance, troubleshooting issues and identifying new opportunities * Execute bid changes based on pacing and performance * Perform audience research to develop new campaign ideas for PPC and contextual channels * Work with business analysts to set performance goals in platforms and optimize using platform and internal 2U CRM data * Articulate how you've used data to solve media problems / impact media performance * Use 3rd party tools to optimize campaigns (ie. Google Analytics, Tableau, Salesforce CRM, etc) * Develop hypotheses for creative testing and execute a/b and multivariate tests * Communicate to a diverse set of teams; use data and insight to make a case for what you need to be successful * Analyze key performance data (top of funnel to bottom) within managed PPC channels - work with business analysts to analyze and optimize the volume, behavior and cost efficiency of individual campaigns and channels * Negotiate, sign and maintain monthly media buys; work with Ad Operations on proper execution * Manage a series of programs and paid channels on a day-to-day basis Things That Should Be In Your Background: * 1-3 years of direct-response media management experience * Understanding of how to develop and execute media strategies across paid digital media channels * Familiarity with direct management of PPC channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, AdWords) as well as contextual, direct media buys * Experience negotiating, signing and maintaining monthly media buys * Familiarity with how digital ads are served and tracked using pixels, URL parameters, etc. Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role: * Attention to detail * Multi-tasking, flexibility and ability to consistently evaluate priorities * Creative and enjoys using data to problem solve * Enjoys close collaboration with others * Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an environment of constant change About 2U Inc.
