The Director of Operations is responsible for the oversight and management of all operational departments and procedures, including attractions, aquatics (lifeguards and ride attendants), park services, parking, security and first aid. Specifically, to ensure that the park operates in a safe and efficient manner. The Director of Operations also serves as the park's primary safety officer in the capacity of risk management and compliance with all corporate and jurisdictional health, safety and environmental standards and regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Roles and Responsibilities:
Works closely with the General Manager in establishing on-going operations procedures and programs for the park
Oversight of park aquatics program including recruiting, training and testing of lifeguard staff to exceed performance standards as required by Ellis & Associates; develop and maintain standard operating procedures, permitting and required signage for all park attractions to ensure the highest level of safety
Ensure park-wide cleanliness and visual experience standards in all guest-facing areas including walkways, restrooms, parking lots, pools and common areas
Manage parking operations to maximize safety and efficiency for incoming vehicle traffic
Serve as the park's safety officer to ensure that all internal and jurisdictional Health, Safety and Environmental training, performance and documentation standards are met or exceeded, including those set forth by OSHA and various other state/local ordinances and codes; maintain opening and closing operational checklists and park communication systems; conduct regular safety meetings and document regular site safety inspections
Oversee documentation, reporting and representation related to insurance underwriting and risk management programs including Workers Compensation
Serve as liaison with police, fire and emergency medical service agencies; management of New Hampshire non-transport EMS license
Management of third-party security contract to ensure monitoring and security of park perimeter and premises, conduct security screenings of guests and team members and enforce all park policies and rules of conduct with guests and team members
Provide direction in long-term planning including capital investment projects and other park improvements
Establish and administer contracts
Develop and manage all labor and operating expense budgets to meet or exceed annual business goals

Requirements:
Education & Training: Bachelor's degree in Management or related field; equivalent experience will be considered; must hold or be willing to obtain lifeguard instructor certification from Ellis & Associates, Certified Pool Operator certification and any other required certification, training or licenses.
Languages: Fluent English
Skills:
Problem Solving & Analysis: Define problems, research and collect data, draw valid conclusions and execute remedial strategies in a timely manner; submission of weekly reports to General Manager and Park team.
Project Management: Understand and manage projects from concept to completion. Develop and achieve strategic objectives, plans and time schedules; organize and manage competing priorities, while maintaining a steadfast commitment to detail; Manage the operations labor and expense budget in compliance with corporate purchasing procedures

Other: Physical demands include ability to walk and stand for long periods of time outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat. Ability to perform physical inspections of the facility and attractions; this may include frequent bending, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Relationships:
Internal: Work effectively with and support all of the other park Department Managers and Corporate staff.
External: Interact with a wide variety of vendors, suppliers and service providers including government agencies, aquatics safety program directors and 3rd party inspectors.
Organization:
