Directs Distribution Center operations for assigned shift through a team of functional managers and front line supervisors. Ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.
Responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire inbound (Receiving), outbound (Shipping), and operational support departments on assigned shift.
Responsible for ensuring that key customer service and operational efficiency standards are met.
Manages policy deployment in the areas of quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and center performance measures.
Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communication, coaching, training, and development.
Balances work cell capacity across the entire distribution center.
Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
Ensures compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects.
Manages compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsible for maintaining a budget and meeting all criteria with budget
Ensures department processes and records are timely maintained and that department is in complete compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements throughout each fiscal year.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Leadership: A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 3-6 month time span; Measurement of performance to company goals and standards and establishment of targets for improvements in safety, quality, cost, delivery and employee relations. Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Employee training and development.
