ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field required. MBA preferred.

  • Ten plus years manufacturing experience, with progressive levels of responsibility demonstrated.

  • Experience in sheet metal manufacturing/assembly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Rarely (0-12%): Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Lifting/Pulling/Pushing

  • Occasionally (12-33%): Standing/Walking

  • Frequently (34-66%):

  • Regularly (67-100%): Seeing/Hearing/Fingering/Grasping/Feeling

WORKING CONDITION:

  • General office environment plus daily time on the manufacturing floor.

ABOUT YOUR TASKS:

  • Manage all plant operations to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Develop, plan, and monitor daily plant performance toward company metrics and develop immediate corrective action plans for issue resolution and continuous improvement.

  • Prepare annual operating budget and achieve year-over-year improvement in quality, delivery, and cost (material, labor, overhead).

  • Manage plant safety program for year over year improvements in incident rate and full compliance to OSHA requirements.

  • Ensure quality meets internal and external standards.

  • Minimize working capital while meeting on time delivery goals.

  • Coordinate/Sponsor Product Improvement Teams towards achievement of initial quality, warranty, and cost reduction goals.

  • Utilize lean, six sigma and TOC methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

  • Lead activities to meet dynamic market needs and expectations for order fulfillment and seek to systematically reduce lead times.

  • Motivate and develop subordinates to optimize their performance and their personal and professional growth.

  • Ensure that company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all related functions.

  • Provide monthly forecasting and reporting of all plant operations and associated financial measures.

  • Participate in expanded company Leadership Team with fellow Directors and Senior Leadership Team. Consult and communicate on matters of market strategy and cross-functional organizational issues.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated success managing large groups to sustained improvement.

  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies

  • Intimate knowledge of and proven success working cross-functionally.

  • Strong MRP/ERP experience, Oracle preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent computer skills with expertise in Excel and Word

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate personnel by example.

  • Able to make decisions with reasonable information.
