What you'll do...

DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS, AND IMPLEMENTATION

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of International Operations and Implementation, with a priority focus on merchandising and merchandise operations, to join our dynamic team at Walmart International. As the Director of International Operations and Implementation, you will play a crucial role in creating leverage across Walmart Inc and ensuring the successful support and implementation of our merch ops tools and merchandising strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development of multiple projects and programs by utilizing merchandising operations expertise for the development and improvement of project and program initiatives.

  • Manage the alignment of business initiatives and support segment strategy, identifying and managing interdependencies across the implementation portfolio.

  • Assess capacity and resources, adjusting prioritization and assignments based on strategy.

  • Incorporate support segment expertise into business initiatives, designing initiative operationalization within support segment frameworks.

  • Provide guidance to ensure the target associate and customer experience is identified and represented throughout the portfolio.

  • Deploy leadership methodology and operational processes and procedures across multiple functions.

  • Evaluate key business components to assess current performance standards and identify key areas of leverage opportunities.

  • Develop improvement, change management solutions, and ensure methodologies, processes, and procedures are simple and executable.

  • Consult with cross-functional teams to gain alignment on improvement solutions and ensure sustainability for future use.

  • Analyze business objectives and customer needs to develop and implement business strategies, plans, and practices.

  • Analyze costs and forecasts, incorporating them into business plans.

  • Evaluate operational processes and measure outcomes to ensure desired results.

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.

  • Diagnose capability gaps, recruit, and develop talent, and support mentorship and succession planning.

  • Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics.

  • Develop and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals.

  • Sponsor and lead key community outreach and involvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading the development and improvement of multiple projects and programs.

  • Strong merchandising operations expertise and the ability to align business initiatives with support segment strategy.

  • Proven history in deploying leadership methodology and operational processes across multiple functions.

  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Strong ability to attract, develop, and retain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.

  • Exceptional communication and people skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Logistics Supply Chain, Communications, or related field and 5 years' experience in retail, production, operations management, or related area OR 7 years' experience in retail, production, operations management, or related area. 2 years' supervisory experience.
