Your Impact

The Director of the Analytics Center of Excellence team at Axon will be defining and establishing the strategy for the next generation of data visibility and insights to accelerate operational performance across the Global Operations teams. This leader will promote truth and accountability throughout the Data Analytics Life Cycle and alignment to streamlined processes. Will take the initiative to help us mitigate costs and risks via the implementation of actionable dashboards, ad hoc analysis, predictive analytics end-to-end and automation. The Operations Analyst team will rely on you to support all ongoing projects in the portfolio, establishing roadmaps and improving the current state to maximize resources utilization.

Reports to: : Sr. Director of Operational Excellence

• Direct the Operations Analyst team. Defines the strategy and the roadmap to elevate the utilization of advanced analytics solutions, big data and problem solving tools to drive KPI improvements in the Global Operations organization.

• Oversee the analytics project portfolio and the efficient application of resources to increase output and meet desired intent. Reports on progress and results to leadership and stakeholders.

• Promote the use of Automation in Analytics. Partners with various Axon teams to leverage AI tools and deploys knowledge and formal training to the Global Operation organization.

• Deploy the use of techniques like Data Flow Diagrams to discover relevant opportunities.

• Drive cross-functional collaboration with diverse technical and business teams to provide them with proactive analytics insights and recommendations.

• Empower the organization with the use of data to provide the "facts" from validated sources and manages the data life cycle. Actively collaborates with the data architecture team to improve the quality of our sources to better support the needs of the Global Operations organization.

• Drives and improves the existing metrics processes and cadences.

• Drives efforts to construct data models for operations stakeholders.

• Provide technical support to the Analyst team to design, develop, maintain and improve the ongoing reports, analyses, dashboards, tools and models.

• Create skills matrix, develop career paths and plans extended education for the Operations Analyst team members.

What You Bring

• B.S. degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Data Science, or other quantitative field.

• Requires 10+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8+ years and a Master's degree or technical program.

• Proven record of supporting Operations functions such as: Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality.

• Big Data Tools:

• Proficient with Snowflake Data Cloud

• Advanced Power BI (Power Query) or similar data visualization software. Ability to write complex DAX functions.

• Advanced SQL (structured query language) experience. Ability to both interpret & write complex data queries.

• Experience with Python.

• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft D365.

• Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps.

• Program management skills: Stakeholder Management, Communication, & Resources management.

• Ability to effectively prioritize the engagements, projects and tasks for the team.

• Ability to define the big picture for analytics and solve business problems.

• Passionate and proficient to adopt and deploy the latest technology.

The Pay

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 132,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 198,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
