Job Description:
Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Director of Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness is responsible for all institutional research, assessment, and effectiveness functions at the College. The individual in this position is a key player in not only the Academic Affairs team, but also works closely with senior leadership across the College to provide data that impacts planning and evaluation.

Responsibilities include:

Provides leadership and supervision for the Director for Assessment, Accreditation, and Planning and the Institutional Research Assistant Compiles, analyzes, and disseminates quantitative and qualitative data on facets of the College related to enrollment, retention/graduation, admissions, strategic planning, student outcomes, and institutional effectiveness. Ensures that meaningful, appropriate, and accurate data and supporting documentation is available to meet the decision-making needs of the College. Maintains and updates key historical databases (Admissions, Student, Financial Aid, Courses, Grades, Academic Standing, etc.) for use in a variety of planning, reporting, and analytics projects Generates, collects, and reports data for all State (SUNY, NYSED, etc.) Regional (MSCHE), and Federal (IPEDS, NPSAS, etc.) mandated data submissions Generates, collects, and reports data for High Profile College guidebooks (US News, College Board, Petersons, Princeton Review, etc.) Partners with the AVP for Grants and Contracts on data needs related to initial grant research and proposals; provide institutional level data for grants that are secured Maintains assessment management system (Watermark) user accounts, assist non-academic departments with creation of outcomes/objectives, measures and findings; conduct trainings on the system with end users Keeps up to date with Middle States accreditation standards and requirements Serves as a member of the following campus groups ? Dean's Council, Retention/Student Success committee, Middle States Accreditation Steering Committee, Title III Leadership Committee Administers College-wide surveys and analyze results (SUNY Student Opinion Survey, Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE), Sexual Violence Prevention (SVP), Perkins Non-Traditional Survey, etc.

Requirements:
Master's degree 5-7 years progressively responsible experience in Institutional Research Ability to communicate complex information in ways that are understandable to the campus community, both in written and oral formats
