Come join a friendly and diverse clinical team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Director of Youth Crisis and Substance Abuse Services in Worcester.

Responsibilities

Oversight of clinical and programmatic operations of the the two MCI teams, our adolescent detox and stabilization program (MYR), and our school-based substance abuse programs.
Maintain and comply with regulations and specifications of the program funders.
Represent CHL at all local and statewide meetings, MCE Network Management Meetings, and other stakeholder meetings.
Supervise and evaluate the performance of program management staff.
Ability to manage all fiscal aspects of programs, i.e.; managing budgets, program expenses, census, staffing, etc.
Oversee the ongoing implementation of effective Quality Management activities in each program.
Demonstrate effective, person centered strength based communication with staff and consumers.
Encourages and supports diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, respect, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

Qualifications

Master's Degree mental health counseling, social work, psychology
Massachusetts independent licensure (LMHC, LICSW, Licensed Psychologist)
7 years experience in children's mental health settings
4 years supervisory experience
Current valid US-issued driver's license and ability to provide registered, inspected, and insured automobile for work-related purposes
Must be able to pass a CORI and a DCF/CPS background check

Develop formulations that address the level of use and potential risk, the current impact of substances, and the Person's readiness for change and support the Person's relapse prevention and long-term recovery. Identify and evaluate Persons served risk issues and develop appropriate critical need interventions and transition plans. Ensure timely completion, with Persons served and other members of the Trans-Disciplinary Team, of the Comprehensive Assessment and other clinical assessments as needed. Participate in and collaborate on the development and implementation of Treatment Plans and Treatment Plan reviews. Develop and facilitate clinical and support groups based on the needs and preferences of Persons served. Cultivate mutually respectful partnerships, set appropriate limits, and maintain a helping role with people served and family members. Coordinate with Care Coordination Entities and other providers to ensure that Persons have access to services that address addiction treatment and related issues. Demonstrate respect for all Persons regardless of ability status, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or ethnicity. Provide direct interventions and supports to people served based on their stage of treatment or stage of change using evidence based and promising treatment practices. Provide clinical consultation to staff teams and assist the team in understanding how the use of substances and/or addictive behavior can impact a person's recovery. Provide agency staff and Persons served with ongoing support and consultation; respond to serious events as needed. Provide modeling, supervision, and training to direct care staff, especially related to evidence-based interventions. Develop, coordinate, and deliver trainings in conjunction with the Integrated Team members, as needed to address the clinical learning needs of staff (e.g. orientation, crisis intervention, developing a clinical perspective, etc.). Position Summary: As the UMass Memorial Crisis Intervention Specialist you will be asked to provide crisis evaluations for patients in the Psychiatric Service both on and off site, for young children, adults and geriatric patients. Utilizes the language of the current DSM V to establish comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and subsequent planning and treatment. Coordinates and facilitates system treatment meetings, on and off site, to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Works with patients and their families, including treatment planning implementation, group and individual therapy, and coordinates community services and discharge planning. Works with insurance companies to fulfill all requirements for appropriate referrals to inpatient units, outpatient care and diversion programs, while strongly advocating for the patient. Participates in the orientation and/or training of new staff, students and others. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: * Masters Degree in Human Services or equivalent is required. * Must be license eligible upon hire (LICSW, LISW, or LMHC). This position offers a 4 day workweek (4 ten hour days) AND we provide supervision towards licensure. Staff at Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention Services (YMCIS) work as a team to provide emergency response to youth and families experiencing a behavioral health crisis. We provide assessment, intervention, and stabilization to youth and their families in community-based settings including homes, residential treatment centers, schools, as well as hospital emergency departments. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have expanded our services to include telehealth. Our YMCI staff are able to provide assessments and intervention from our office.
