Primary Job Function:
The Reynoldsburg City Schools' Director of Whole Child Supports, under the direction of the Executive Director of Diverse Learners and Whole Child, specializes in coordinating student services across the district, emphasizing whole child support. The Director of Whole Child Supports will work with the Executive Director of Diverse Learners & Whole Child Supports and the Director of Special Education to develop high-quality programs and coordinate student programming across the District. The candidate has experience leading effective student services and providing professional development, along with social, emotional and mental health support, to ensure that systems are in place that allow students to receive appropriate intervention and support.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Education or related field
Current Administrative Specialist or similar administrative license required
Minimum of (5) five years of experience working directly in the field of Social Work, in particular in a K-12 school setting
Valid Ohio driver's license
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead selection of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum and resource adoption, implementation, and professional development for the District
Provides oversight and ensures appropriate delivery of mental health services in accordance with student needs
Conducts Trauma Informed Care (TIC) professional development and coaching for staff and other relevant stakeholders
Implements data collection programs to assess the needs and resources available to students and implement supportive programming accordingly
Assists in the adoption and implementation of restorative practices through training, professional development, coaching, and modeling for staff across the District
Develop partnerships with community agencies, organizations, and supports that align with the SEL and mental health needs of students and staff
Oversees the PBIS/SEL process for all K-12 students
Supports the PBIS Coordinator in leading the District PBIS/SEL team in regular meetings to share best practices and keep a pulse on programming that is occurring across the District
Coordinates climate & culture practices across the District to ensure equitable and consistent programming for all students
Lead mental health team in regular meetings & training
Provides extensive mental health training and assistance to all staff including case managers, intervention specialists, general education teachers, related service providers and support service professionals on various mental & behavioral health related topics
Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders
Leads District-wide suicide prevention and mental health awareness campaigns, programs, and interventions
Stays abreast of all legal requirements governing mental health supports and their application to programs in Reynoldsburg City Schools
Assists in staffing recommendations regarding mental health supports
Assists in recruitment and selection of all mental health personnel.
Maintains confidentiality of staff and student records and general information
Articulate the district's mission to community and solicit its support in realizing the mission
Oversee and /conduct mental health team members' evaluation
Oversee qualification, implementation, compliance, and service of 504s districtwide
Oversee training and professional development of 504s
Coordinate hiring, training, and evaluation of nurses for district
Coordinate and serve as foster care liaison and support for district
Supervise and support homeless liaison
Serve as district Title IX investigator for student to student investigations
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Diverse Learners & Whole Child Supports

Work collaboratively across the organization to identify opportunities and provide programs and services for children with behavioral, social or emotional challenges
Champion innovation among administrators, teachers, and staff by encouraging, recognizing and rewarding initiative, improvement in the area of social-emotional and behavioral well-being
Frequently and effectively work with internal and external stakeholders in co-design programs, services and processes that lead to improve implementation and delivery of social, emotional and behavioral
Continuously evaluate existing programs and make recommendations for adjustments and change
Establish an environment of open communication between administrators, staff, teachers, other departments, parents, outside organizations, state agencies
Leadership
Responsible for modeling the district's philosophy for inclusive education
Serves as thought-leader to enhance new and innovative ways to provide services and support to all students
Facilitate the investigation of current research regarding trends and best practices to support appropriate recommendations for student success
Develop and implement professional learning for staff, faculty and administrators concerning social, emotional and behavioral programs, services,
Take responsibility for and engage staff in conversations about levels of internal employee engagement; enlist those impacted in designing solutions that lead to higher levels of engagement
Accountability/Results
Effectively communicate strategy implementation to address the needs of students into the district's plan to improve outcomes such as improved attendance rates and disciplinary incidences.
Conduct on-going needs assessments, collect and analyze data, use pertinent data to refine and improve operational functions and services
Evaluate and monitor Whole Child Supports operations, programs, and services to assure compliance with established laws, codes, regulations, policies, procedures, standards and requirements and modify program activities for compliance where needed
Assure mandated reports are completed and submitted to appropriate governmental agencies in accordance with established timelines and requirements
Stay up to date regarding student services related laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures
Assume responsibility for compiling, maintaining, and filing all reports, records, and other documents legally required or administratively useful
Investigate, analyze and direct activities to assure proper and timely resolution of issues, conflicts and complaints
Managing Resources
Human Capital
Collaborate with Human Resources in the recruitment and selection of Department personnel
Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel
Interview and select employees and recommend transfers, promotion, reassignment, termination and disciplinary actions
Plan and implement professional development for staff
Involve staff in continuous improvement through self-evaluation and goal setting
Develop an ongoing plan for the smooth transition of District-wide special education students to successive grade and educational levels
Develop procedures for the placement, review and discharge of special education students
Financial
Develop, prepare and provide recommendations for preliminary budgets for Special Education programs and services
Analyze and review budgetary and financial data
Control and authorize expenditures in accordance with established limitations
Prepare and direct the disbursement of grants and related funds
Coordinate the implementation of federal and state grant applications
Continually research new opportunities for grants and other funding resources
Collaborate with nonpublic and home school administrators to assure state funding provides adequate personnel and resources for special education student
