The Director of Web Strategy Role

As our Director of Web Strategy, you will identify and champion website opportunities for growth, experimentation and how we measure that impact to the business. You will define the Qlik.com web and content strategy by understanding our users, our products, and our platform. You will be integral in defining content strategy, competitive analysis, and user research to help us build a thoughtful and strategic customer journey. You'll be responsible for driving innovation roadmaps to increase organic traffic and improve our signup conversion rates and revenue. You will partner with product marketing, design, development, and Marketing Operations teams to deliver comprehensive and integrated website strategies that increase awareness, drive customer acquisition, and improve product adoption.

Here's how you'll be making an impact:

SEO & Content Strategy

  • Define and implement a strategic global content roadmap.

  • Lead the conceptualization and execution of comprehensive content/SEO strategies aligned with overarching marketing and business objectives. Craft a strategic roadmap that encompasses technical SEO, content strategy, keyword research, and competitive analysis internationally.

  • Orchestrate the technical facets of SEO, collaborating closely with our web development team to ensure implementation of on-page and technical SEO elements. Monitor website performance, identify improvement opportunities, and lead initiatives to bolster site speed, mobile responsiveness, and crawl efficiency.

  • Conduct keyword research to unearth emerging trends and promising opportunities. Collaborate with the content team to devise data-driven content strategies targeting pertinent keywords, aligning with user intent, and positioning us as authoritative voices within the industry.

  • Institute an ongoing testing and optimization framework aimed at refining organic search performance. Employ A/B testing, astute data analysis, and methodical experimentation to fine-tune SEO strategies, on-page attributes, and content engagement.

  • Forge strong collaborative bonds with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, brand management, and creative units, to stay aligned on keyword and customer targeting strategies. Ensure a cohesive messaging approach, consistent branding, and optimal user experiences across various touchpoints.

  • Oversee the orchestration of SEO analytics tools and platforms, effectively tracking, measuring, and reporting key performance indicators. Regularly furnish the executive team with insights and comprehensive reports that spotlight progress, emerging trends, and potential areas for enhancement.

  • Develop a culture of continuous learning and improvement, ensuring adherence to search governance structures and standard methodologies.

Conversion Optimization

  • Own website conversion rate optimization strategy, partnering with various teams to drive ongoing improvements to the user experience and acquisition.

  • Develop and execute an end-to-end website customer journey experience, based on enterprise-wide customer personas / segments

  • Develop & execute CRO programs to meet customer growth / ROI targets.

  • Drive performance through constantly testing new strategies (segmentation, messaging, navigation, design, content etc) and building a hypothesis driven test and learn discipline.

  • Partner with research & analytics in applying qualitative & quantitative methods with rigorous A/B testing to understand traffic and conversion drivers.

  • Continually make and implement recommendations for optimizing programs, and additional investment in time and money in line with strategic direction.

  • Work cross-functionally with leaders on product, marketing, sales, data science, and insights to unlock new growth opportunities.

Measurement

  • Own and enhance web KPIs and reporting cadence to drive data-based optimizations and inform stakeholders on overall web performance on monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Constantly monitor traffic, funnel conversion, page performance metrics and ROI to deliver improved performance.

We're looking for a teammate with:

  • 10+ years of experience in developing integrated B2B Saas web strategies.

  • Proven strength in applying statistics, experimentation, and modeling to applied business problems.

  • Experienced in and an advocate for web content strategy, SEO, conversion rate optimization and performance marketing.

  • Strong user research skills: planning, leading, and synthesis.

  • Experience generating strategy documentation including personas, user journeys, competitive analysis, content strategy, and information architecture.

  • Ability to identify popular themes and types of content our audience would engage with and align them with the appropriate channels.

  • Familiar with A/B testing tools, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager (or similar programs).

  • Excellent project management and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with content management systems and web development technologies.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • A strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.

  • Bonus: Agency or international experience in similar role

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $ 150,000.00USD MIN - 190,000.00 USD MAX per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate's location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package.
