The Director of Warehouse has control and necessary oversight to coordinate all the activities and responsibilities of the entire warehousing organization at Corporate Park. This position is responsible for all receiving, shipping, inventory, quality control, budgetary concerns, safety standards, productivity, morale, and cost efficiency for warehouse operations.
Leads and directs the business and operational functions in the Distribution Center and manages the facilities maintenance to support and execute against the overall company strategy.
Hires and develops a talented staff to support and execute the company strategy by setting clear direction, stretch goals, distributes work appropriately, plans activities, drives for results, follows-up and rewards doers.
Assists company leadership in setting company strategy and direction for the Distribution Center based on future business development opportunities, external factors, emerging technologies, and customer needs.
Manages multiple projects at once; plans, arranges, organizes and negotiates contracts, services, vendors, and communicates status on a regular basis.
Negotiates and manages outbound freight costs with vendors to assure the best customer service as well as price for the company.
Oversees seasonal staffing and production needs for Distribution Center, Quality, and Returns.
Reports and presents financials, projects, and goals to executive team, advisory board, and peers as needed.
Responsible and accountable for overall budget of the Distribution Center, facilities maintenance, and capital projects.
Manages the upgrade and expand the Distribution Center and implements warehouse management systems for efficient process flow and productivity assuring better customer service.
Responsible for budget achievement as a cost per case, employee opinion surveys, equipment handling buying accountability, and productivity/ throughput.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Manage department personnel including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:

Must possess business acumen for B2C distribution with ability to manage peak seasonal performance. Ability to manage a small package distribution system warehouse in a rapidly growing company. Experience managing and implementing a warehouse management system. Experience managing the expansion and upgrade of a distribution center. Strategic ability to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately. Must be well organized with a strong sensitivity to timely follow up, deadlines, and completing assigned tasks. Must be a strong communicator in all media forms with the ability to communicate with associates, managers, in group settings, or individually, at all levels of the company. Good project management, negotiation, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Should possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook),. Ability to use business analytics, reporting and analysis of data, compile complex spreadsheets, read and understand financial reports, ability to draft presentations, and ability to create meaningful and concise communications. Maintains a customer focus. Must have an understanding of TQM, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing practices. Must possess safety and regulatory knowledge. Ability to motivate and develop employees.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in business administration, operations management, or related field with a minimum of seven (7) years in warehouse operations with a minimum of four (4) years in foodservice industry. Must have a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position supervises an Administrative Assistant and Warehouse Managers.
