The Customer Experience team is looking for a Director of UX Designer to make a big impact in the next evolution of GoDaddy. Our team's mission is to enable people to easily fulfill their dreams by understanding the customer journey, designing end-to-end experiences, and proactively working with teams across GoDaddy to deliver seamless, simple customer experiences that adapt and grow with their needs.

The Role

As Director of UX Designer, you will work with a collaborative, cross-discipline team to design holistic solutions for small business customers that scale across products, channels, and devices. We are looking for a strong, creative problem-solver with a knack for making complex things simple, guided by customer data and business needs, and the know-how to work with others to turn ideas into reality.

In this role, you will be the design owner of GoDaddy's flagship native app (iOS and Android) helping small business owners run their business successfully. You will deliver specific native scenarios, own the overall information architecture of the application and partner with other teams who are implementing their scenarios in the app.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the customer needs, journey, and product requirements to design usable, useful, and engaging user experiences

  • Design experiences to scale across multiple scenarios and products for GoDaddy's flagship app

  • Lead design for major areas of the experience from start to finish and meet project priorities and requirements in an agile environment

  • Clearly define and document problems, goals, and details necessary to communicate and implement designs

  • Effectively present and promote design thinking and solutions to stakeholders

  • Collaborate across disciplines and partner teams to conceptualize, prototype, iterate, test, and build experiences

Requirements

  • Proven record of successfully delivering major product features for consumer-facing native apps

  • Mastery of iOS HIG and Android Material Design requirements

  • Portfolio demonstrates rock-solid skills in UX architecture and interaction design

  • Proactive and strategic problem-solving, design process, and project management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong visual design and prototyping skills a plus

  • Mastery of design tools such as Sketch, InVision, Axure, Illustrator, and Photoshop

  • BA or MA in interaction design, communication design, industrial design, HCI, or equivalent
