SUPERVISION RECEIVED: The Director of University Projects and Change Management will receive day-to-day supervision and guidance from the Director of Human Resources. Additionally, the position will have oversight from the Chief Operating Officer (COO), who will be available for strategic support as needed.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: This position supervises any applicable student workers. This position may in the future supervise project managers or other applicable staff members.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of University Projects and Change Management will be responsible for cross-divisional projects and organizational change management duties at Moravian University.

As part of the first year, Moravian is currently launching a business process and system overhaul, centered around implementation of Oracle Cloud solutions. The Director of University Projects and Change Management will work closely with subject matter experts in functional and technological areas, as well as third-party implementation partners and implementation cohort peers to develop and execute project plans. They will also manage all aspects of change associated with the transition of these major systems to align with business processes, systems, technology, job roles, and organizational structures, with a focus on the people side of change, creating and leveraging strategies to engage and communicate with users, ensure adoption, and smooth transition.

This position can be fully on-site or hybrid.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management

Coordinate with internal subject matter experts and stakeholders, as well as third-party vendors, implementation partners, and cohort peers
Create, in conjunction with the implementation partner, a detailed project plan for year-one (focusing on ERP and HCM implementation), including process, technology, and communications)
Manage the team to keep projects on time, in scope, and on budget
Ensure timely, quality deliverables from the project team
Identify, track, report, and resolve issues
Provides regular status reports to stakeholders
Facilitate meetings and deliver presentations related to the project

Organizational Change Management

Develop and implement change management strategies to reach across stakeholder populations within the University
Supervise execution of activities related to organizational change management and end-user readiness
Identify potential institutional challenges and obstacles
Develop a risk mitigation plan
Communicate and educate the campus community regarding transformative process, goals, and requirements
Evaluate and ensure organizational readiness and change management assessment
Develop and implement strategies to ensure employee understanding and acceptance of impacts on specific job roles, policies, technology impacts, and business practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters degree in business administration, organizational leadership, project management, or related field strongly preferred.
Four-year college degree and 10 or more years of related experience required.
Higher education experience is preferred.
PMP or professional certification in organizational change management is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in successfully leading project and change management strategies for ERP system implementations.
Knowledge of the business areas being transitioned, and understanding of related integrations and processes.
Strong ability to learn the business and culture of the institution, while creating internal partnerships and fostering positive collaboration.
Competent in diagnosing individual and organizational performance improvement needs and matching intervention methodology with needs.
Ability to make project decisions while understanding when issues should be escalated in a timely fashion.
Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation, with the ability to explain complex processes and concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Effective listening skills.
Strong leadership skills, coupled with the ability to work with and build a strong team.
