What We Are Looking For
The Director of Truett in Houston is meant to support the education of men and women for worldwide leadership and service by integrating academic excellence and Christian commitment within Houston and surrounding areas. The Director will be responsible for all residential, online, and hybrid student and academic related services, not limited by, but including: recruitment, admissions, enrollment, financial aid, scholarships, course registration, student life activities, and student conduct.
A doctoral degree, 4 years of relevant work experience, an active Christian faith, and local church ministry involvement are required.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and have a valid driver's license. Permanent residency in or nearby Houston is required.
What You Will Do
- Networking, Collaborating, Marketing, and Fundraising
- Participate within the University and Truett by deepening relationships between Truett and affiliated congregational, denominational, and institutional leaders. Developing long-term relationships with churches, ministers, educators, and laity of the church among groups of shared commitments with Truett Seminary. Serve as a senior leader in the Seminary and contribute to implementation of Seminary priorities and policies.
- Assess, strategize, and coordinate recruitment efforts for prospective Masters, Doctor of Ministry, and Ph.D. students. The Director will supervise both full-time employees and part-time student workers in specific tasks designed for the appropriate audience and market. The Director will also take the lead in training all personnel assigned to him/her in recruitment techniques and best practices.
- Admissions and Enrollment
- Consult with Assistant Dean for Student Services. Initiate and maintain correspondence with prospective students regarding admission and enrollment decisions. Coordinate with recruitment and marketing team to implement all communication plans, providing structure and strategy as needed.
- Schedule classes leading to completion of degrees and communicate this information to the Academic Suite in a timely, efficient manner. Support our Houston students in all academic matters, providing necessary academic reports for ongoing review and strategic planning.
- Oversee and provide vision for day-to-day operations of Truett's Houston campus, including interaction with students and faculty. Handling various aspects of student enrollment, assessment, and curriculum guidance. Assist faculty advising relating to syllabi, schedules, preparation, student interaction, and adjunct guidance as well as provide student guidance from enrollment to graduation.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission. Possess ability to comply with Baylor University policies. Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
