Under the direction of the State Director, the Director of Training and Staff Development is responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing division-wide competency-based clinical training for all

clinical staff, and researching and developing evidence-based programming, curricula, and assessment instruments. This position will ensure clinical staff are highlytrained and proficient in the delivery of clinical services. The Director of Training and Staff Development, in addition to teaching and training clinical staff, will also assist in the development of clinical services/curriculum that are evidence-based, complying with "best practices" and Spectrum's clinical philosophy and treatment methodology and review and revise curricula on an ongoing basis, and will ensure clinical services promote an atmosphere of customer service and excellence in service delivery throughout the organization.

$70,000-$76,000 annually

This position is full-time. This position requires state-wide travel in Massachusetts.

  • Must possess knowledge of Behavioral Health, Mental Health, Correctional treatment services, and Quality Improvement processes and systems;

  • Must have a minimum of Master's Degree in healthcare administration, human services, psychology, education, social work, or closely related field

  • Licensure preferred

  • Four (4) years' experience in a similar position required

  • Must possess extensive knowledge in the various aspects of evidence based behavioral health technology and methodologies of addiction and mental health treatment as they pertain to adults and the criminal justice population

  • Must display a command of writing skills appropriate to the behavioral health field with familiarity of terminology generally utilized in behavioral health treatment.

  • Must possess excellent verbal, social, writing, and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred

  • Must have Driver's License and reliable transportation

The role: In this role, you will be a key member of the clinical implementation team responsible for creating the training and development plan for existing and new markets: Waterbury, Connecticut area and Worcester County, Massachusetts. Therefore, travel to various Cityblock locations is an ongoing requirement of this role. You will be responsible for the onboarding and orientation of our Social Care Teams, helping them understand our culture and drive learning through our care model. This primarily includes Community Health Partners (CHPs) and Outreach Specialists, our community-based non-clinical team members responsible for engaging with and providing direct services to members who face economic and social challenges, and have multiple behavioral and physical health needs. You will be involved throughout the process, from onboarding to training and ongoing education for this team, both supporting the build of training curriculum and delivering it in real-time. Critical to all elements of this role is the incorporation of our core values to sustain a team standard of trust, innovation, celebration of successes, and support. You will build tools to support all aspects of training, including assessments, materials, curriculum management, and logistics. You will lean in to support the development of Cityblock's Learning and Development strategy as we scale. This role is a critical cornerstone to ensure that Cityblock continues to hire impactful, mission-aligned community-based team members to radically improve the health of neighborhoods we are serving. You will: * Support clinical implementation activities as we expand to new markets, including operations, planning, training and metrics. * Provide interim managerial/leadership support for new managers in training. * Execute with strong project management skills, including planning and logistics, monitoring work-plans and managing against milestones, knowing what to prioritize and why, knowing who to keep informed, and when to escalate. * Embody Cityblock's 'ways of being.'
