Essential Functions:

  • Drives values and philosophies through all employee training, events and activities. Ensures all training and development programs, as well as employee activities are strategically aligned with the IPC Standards and expectations, fostering a service culture meeting 5-star standards.
  • Ensures effective and timely development and delivery of the training systems. Programs include, but are not limited to: New Hire Orientation, Manager's Orientation, monthly Leadership training, guest service/satisfaction training, Anti harassment, TIPs, and OSHA.
  • Facilitates the delivery of both custom and IPC training and development programs.
  • Partnering with property leaders, conducts needs analysis to identify training and development needs. May identify external training resource and/or create internal programs to meet these needs.
  • Designs and implements programs to increase guest satisfaction, employee skills and leadership development
  • Actively promotes and informs employees about all training opportunities and employee activities.
  • Makes any necessary adjustments to training methodology and/or re-trains as appropriate.
  • A key leader within the Human Resources department, actively participates in strategic planning and flawless execution of departmental initiatives
  • Plans and executes all employee activities, including meetings, events, charity drives and community efforts.
  • Maintains training records and ensure full participation and compliance.
  • Chairs the Inn-Credibles Committee
  • Creates and executes internal and external communications that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Responsible for administrative duties relative to the above accountabilities.
  • Measures the effectiveness of training to ensure a return on investment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year in Training or Service delivery management, with a strong preference given to individuals who possess hospitality background specific to hotel or resort in a luxury setting.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in luxury hotels strongly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, or related field preferred

VIEW JOBS 10/26/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-24T00:00 <p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong></p> <p>The Human Resources Director is responsible for the overall Human Resource function, leading, managing, and championing the culture of the Company and the Hotel and complying with all regulations.</p> <p></p> <p></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, screening and orientation of all employees and maintaining staffing levels with a superior staff. </li> <li>Lead the hotel’s efforts to attract and retain, motivate and develop a superior staff, positioning The Inn at Perry Cabin as the local Employer of Choice.</li> <li>Administer training programs including orientation, standards, and cultural training. </li> <li>Assess needs, recommend and oversee training and development of all hotel personnel.</li> <li>Support all divisions in leading, supervising, directing and training employees to maintain a caring environment that fosters superior service and gracious hospitality.</li> <li>Administer safety, alcoholic beverage and food safety training to ensure a safe work environment, regulatory compliance and to limit liability.</li> <li>Counsel and train managers on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent administration of the disciplinary process, resolving complaints and maintaining a positive employee-oriented environment.</li> <li>Advises and assists senior management on Human Resource Management issues.</li> <li>Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective action.</li> <li>Oversees management of controversial or sensitive staff issues.</li> <li>Conduct management and employee exit interviews, monitoring trends and making sure of follow-up to ensure effective employee relations and to limit turnover. Track employee turnover and submit summary reports.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws as they relate to every facet of the Human Resource and Safety functions.</li> <li>Responsible for employee Safety and Security functions, ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and reporting.</li> <li>Administer Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment Programs and reporting in accordance with local, state and federal regulations; represent the hotel as necessary at various hearings to reduce cost and limit liability. </li> <li>Survey, recommend and manage a salary, wage and benefit program that maintains a competitive position in the local market and complies with local, state and federal regulations and corporate policies and procedures.</li> <li>Implement, administer and communicate the benefits program in compliance with corporate procedures.</li> <li>Ensure impeccable maintenance of all employee records, files and office systems.</li> <li>Ensure accurate record keeping and compilation of all reports both hotel and governmental, to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and corporate policies and procedures.</li> <li>Ensure that all Human Resources personnel fulfill their job functions appropriately.</li> <li>Assist in the development and establishment of hotel policies and procedures.</li> <li>Prepare and conduct performance evaluations.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Develop the division’s annual budget and manage it to meet or exceed the hotel’s profit objectives, upholding the quality standards of the Inn at Perry Cabin while controlling expenditures.</li> <li>Responsible for the achievement of departmental objectives and goals.</li> <li>Oversee hotel’s employee relations activities.</li> <li>Conduct and attend meetings as necessary.</li> <li>Promote teamwork, employee motivation, and morale.</li> <li>Remain mindful of energy conservation.</li> <li>Follow all safety and security regulations.</li> <li>Maintain the confidentiality of the Inn at Perry Cabin and its employees.</li> <li>At all times, adhere to the policies and procedures of The Inn at Perry Cabin.</li> <li>Effectively represent The Inn at Perry Cabin while on duty and off duty.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned by manager.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION &amp; TRAINING</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 1 year in Human Resources Management and 2 years in Human Resources required.
