Position Summary: This full time, staff position is a 12-month appointment that requires a bachelor's degree with a master's degree, preferred. Teaching and administrative experience is also preferred.

The Director of the CTWD will be an ambitious self-starter who is excited about the opportunity of building a new division at the University from the ground up. The Director also will understand the importance of talent and workforce development within the ecosystem of a higher education institution and be a passionate advocate for a wide-range of educational programs that help individuals earn the certificates, certifications, and degrees they need to serve local business and industry.

The Director is responsible for administrative oversight and leadership of the CTWD and for compliance and communication with the accreditation standards of SACS-COC. The Director represents the center's programs with regional businesses and is actively involved with workforce and other related organizations in the state, region, and nation.

The Director will be responsible for program promotion and student recruitment. Present areas identified for the CTWD include viticulture, mechatronics, unmanned aerial drones, vocational nursing, cybersecurity, medical certifications, and banking.

Although this position is largely administrative, student learning is the University's primary mission, and this position is expected to teach in at least one of the programs offered through the CTWD.

The Director reports to the Dean of Academics and Compliance. The Director maintains a collegial and highly collaborative working system within the university, focused on student learning and continuous improvement in advising, mentoring, and student opportunities.

Qualifications: A graduate degree in a related discipline is preferred.
