As we look to enhance our world-class tennis facilities, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Tennis Court Maintenance to join our team.

The Director of Tennis Court Maintenance will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tennis court upkeep and maintenance at the Congressional Country Club. This includes the management of clay, grass, and hard courts, ensuring they are of the highest quality and meet the standards for national and international events. The successful candidate will lead a team of maintenance staff, manage budgets, and work closely with the tennis professionals to ensure an exceptional playing experience for our members.

What will be expected of you:

• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for all tennis court surfaces, including daily, weekly, and annual maintenance schedules.

• Support, train, and manage the tennis court maintenance team, ensuring a high level of performance and professionalism.

• Collaborate with the Director of Tennis to schedule maintenance activities around club events, tournaments, and member play to minimize disruption.

• Manage the budget for tennis court maintenance, including procurement of materials and equipment, and negotiating contracts with vendors.

• Oversee the installation of new courts or the renovation of existing courts, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Stay informed of the latest innovations and best practices in tennis court maintenance and surface technology.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with environmental regulations and safety standards.

How we determine your qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tennis court maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

• Extensive knowledge of all types of tennis court surfaces, including clay, grass, and hard courts.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent organizational, budget management, and communication skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by tournament schedules and maintenance needs.

• A passion for tennis and providing the best possible playing conditions for members and guests.

• Hospitality or club experience is desirable
