Director Of Technology

The Director of Technology is responsible for promoting and supporting the integration of technology into the Athol-Royalston Regional Schools' curriculum. In this critical position, the incumbent is responsible for assisting staff members in enhancing their teaching and their students' learning through the latest technology and approaches.

Emphasis is placed on leading the district's 21st-century learning environment and pedagogical applications of technology. The Director of Technology promotes facilitating the use of technology in teaching and learning via providing professional development classes and overall educational support. The incumbent develops working relationships with teaching staff, technology support staff, and administrative teams. The incumbent develops and shares training resources, technology strategies, and otherwise by developing and maintaining a strong understanding of instructional support and other services.

The Director of Technology also acts as the systems administrator and is responsible for configuration, administration, management, and support for IT systems, including client devices, servers, applications, and services. The Systems Administrator works with the district's technology operations team to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of services to students and staff.
