The Basics:

At Tanium, our Directors of Technical Account Management (DTAMs) serve as the linchpin of every customer engagement. Working closely with our customers to demo, deploy, operationalize, and extend the Tanium platform, our DTAMs thrive on solving problems and building new technology. As a DTAM, you will be faced with an endless series of hard problems to tackle as our customers revolutionize enterprise operations and security with Tanium. Because the DTAM position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and opportunities, we seek exceptionally versatile candidates with demonstrable acumen in each of the below areas.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with our customers to:

  • Demo, deploy, operationalize, and extend the Tanium Platform

  • Solve problems and build new technology (R&D)

  • Consistently and cogently address our customers' needs through astute verbal and written communication skills

  • Thrive in a team-oriented culture through delivering a significant individual contribution while collaborating with and strengthening teammates

  • Think critically, spanning the sales process through customer support, troubleshooting, and developing new capabilities on the Tanium platform

  • Work closely with CSMs on improving Tanium operational status within key accounts

  • Expected to travel up to 25% of the time on average (can vary by region)

We're looking for someone with:

  • Education

  • BS degrees in computer science, MIS, or equivalent experience required

  • Experience

  • 5+ years experience in technical positions required

  • 2+ years of experience in customer-facing or customer support positions

  • 8+ years' of operational experience in endpoint operations or security

  • Hands-on Tanium experience a major plus

  • A demonstrated track record of taking ownership of complex initiatives and producing successful outcomes

  • Demonstrated aptitude in one or more programming languages

  • Broad knowledge across several technical domains, coupled with deep knowledge in one or more of the following:

  • Endpoint Security

  • Endpoint Support/Troubleshooting

  • Incident response

  • Systems Management

  • Systems Administration

  • Software Engineering

  • Utility Scripting (e.g. bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python, etc.)

  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Naturally team-oriented with a mission first attitude

The softlines team performs testing on items ranging from fabric samples to finished products, including apparel, accessories, footwear, soft home furnishings, linens and outdoor products. These services help customers meet consumer demand, minimize reputational risk and reduce environmental impact, while protecting the interests of retailers, brands, manufacturers and consumers. Duties * Manages and directs team of Senior Account Managers, Account Managers, or Account Coordinators, including customer on-site staff where applicable. * Manages multiple global key accounts. * Provides creative and innovative ATIC solutions to support customer business strategies. Works to develop a strategic partnership between Intertek and our customers. * Drives and generates opportunities for revenue growth consistent with Intertek global key account initiatives and strategies. * Ensures customer requirements and work instructions are well documented and communicated to Intertek global network of labs and offices. * Proactively organizes and leads formal Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings with global key accounts. * Keeps current on relevant product regulatory, safety, and quality performance requirements; communicates and consults with customer on relevant information; provides technical regulatory support; directly or facilitating through Intertek network of experts. * Participates and consults with customer(s) in routine quality and safety meetings with QA engineers and other stakeholders. * Prepares sales reports, forecasts, and provide regular account status updates through established CRM system, including the development of account-based strategies (Strategic Account Plan) in consultation with VP of Retail Management and appropriate Global Business Line leaders. * Organizes seminars or webinars to provide training to the customers and vendors on both process and technical related topics. This may include periodic travel to overseas countries to meet with vendors or overseas customer sourcing offices. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in related area, or the equivalent in terms of education, experience and/or training. * 4-6 years directly related ATIC experience, with direct customer interaction. * Managerial level experience; ability to effectively communicate job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job results, coaching, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. * Self-managed and responsible to project and time management. * Ability to interface with supply chain Director or VP level and other customer structures. * Strong analytical skills to identify trends in client markets and Intertek services. * Strong people skills to include cross cultural sensitivities. * Proven problem solving and negotiation abilities. * International business exposure in imported consumer products. * Strong written and spoken English skills, other languages will be an advantage. * Hands-on, open-minded, proactive team player. * Capable of building trust, value others and communicate effectively. * Customer focused, high integrity, excellent work ethic. * Proficiency in MS Office; ability to create spreadsheets, tables and graphs, queries, extrapolate and summarize meaningful data. * Physical dexterity/mobility to travel via car, airplane and perform all functions inherent to the position. Travel 25-35%; domestic meetings with U.S. based clients and vendors; International meetings with customers on overseas trips, supporting vendor conferences, internal training and workshops.
