What does your role bring to the table?

The Snooze Director of Talent and Recruiting will facilitate the full-cycle employment process from sourcing, hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning ensuring we have the highest quality talent amongst our Snooze family at the management and Mothership levels. We are seeking a driven and strategic talent expert who is excited about our growth trajectory and committed to getting aces in places. This role will be responsible for refining our managerial and hourly recruiting processes, leveraging technology, building Snooze's employment brand, identifying talent for future growth, and ensuring our overall talent practices are the best in the business. This person will play a significant role in the future of Snooze ensuring that we have the talent to lead our current restaurants and meet the needs of our significant growth plans. This individual will join and lead a team of people-focused, culture-rich food lovers who are responsible for maintaining a strong culture through growth and expansion. The Director of Talent and Recruiting will report to the Chief People and Culture Officer.

The Position specifics!

Taking on the role of Director of Talent and Recruiting isn't just about bacon and pancakes. The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Oversee and guide the full-cycle recruitment process for Mothership, management, and hourly

  • Source, attract, select, offer, negotiate, and onboard new Snoozers. Positions include: Mothership Support, Executive Level, Assistant Managers, General Managers, Head Chefs, Sous Chefs and all Hourly Snoozers

  • Determine staffing levels dependent on restaurant needs and assist the Vice President of People and Culture in conducting annual compensation surveys and audits

  • Network and build relationships with various organizations and professional industry contacts to build and strengthen talent pipeline and recruitment tools

  • Lead, develop, innovate and manage employment brand strategy and tactics, including continued improvements of recruitment tools and pipelines.

  • Perform in-person, phone, and working interviews with potential Snoozers at all levels

  • Oversee and guide all New Baby Snooze (NRO) hiring strategies, recruitment planning and training

  • Oversee and guide all advertising, sourcing, and recruiting strategy for all positions

  • Oversee and guide the social media presence of our employment brand

  • Master the applicant tracking system (ATS) by managing the maintenance of job lifecycles, job posts, candidate pools and overall use of tool

  • Provide professional expertise and support in the design, development and implementation of the talent review process that is required to achieve business goals and results in the creation of an internal bench of top talent

  • Execute monthly reporting including time to fill, recruitment tool analytics, referral bonus payouts, etc. As well as, collect, analyze and maintain data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., succession planning)

  • Participate in organizational strategic planning for performance management and talent development

  • Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in finding the best-of-the-best talent

  • Manage the maintenance and execution of current job descriptions, standards of performance, performance evaluation instruments, and performance management systems

  • Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging commitments

  • Ensure that organization-wide talent management and performance management initiatives are executed and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness

  • Create, manage and influence all operating budgets relative to talent, recruitment strategy, and employment brand

  • Collaborate with Regional Managers and hiring managers to build influence and leadership around accountability measures, hiring practices, and talent needs for all Mothership, managerial and hourly hiring

  • Inspire, motivate, teach, guide and manage Snooze's full talent acquisition team

  • Collaborate with all Operations leaders to meet the goals and priorities of staffing at all levels

  • Partner with People and Culture leadership to meet all talent needs

  • Additional roles and responsibilities required to meet the company's goals and priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to work through complex business issues and identify, develop and implement solutions

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools e.g. Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Strong MS Excel knowledge required to perform complex calculations, merge data from multiple tables/sources, and scrub data

  • Knowledge and experience with all social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

  • Knowledge and experience with job recruiting sites such as Glassdoor, Indeed, Craigslist, Sirvo, Hcareers, CareerBuilder, Snagit, Zip Recruiter, and Monster.

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems such as Harri, Taleo, Workday, iCIMS, TalentReef, Greenhouse, Work Pop, Etc.

Let's talk prerequisites! (Education, credentials, and experience)

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in hospitality recruiting or like sector

  • 8+ years working directly in the recruitment and talent management field

  • 3+ years of management and leadership with direct reports

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools e.g. Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Strong MS Excel knowledge is required to perform complex calculations, merge data from multiple tables/sources, and scrub data

  • Knowledge and experience with all social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

  • Knowledge and experience with job recruiting sites such as Glassdoor, Indeed, Craigslist, Sirvo, Hcareers, CareerBuilder, Snagit, Zip Recruiter, and Monster.

  • Must have the stamina to work 45-55 hours per week

  • Required travel of 15% and ability to travel up to 5 days at one time (air, bus, train and weekend travel required)

  • Home base in Denver, CO at the Snooze Mothership

The Nitty Gritty Details

Denver area base salary range: $120,000-$140,000 per year

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Snooze salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Snooze's total compensation package for employees.
