Overview
The Strategy and Transformation function plays a critical role in accelerating PepsiCo's sustainable growth by driving strategic choices, delivering breakthrough enterprise capabilities, optimizing service delivery excellence and executing end-to-end transformations for the organization. The Strategy and Transformation organization works across all PepsiCo functions, collaborating with functional and sector stakeholders to deliver technology solutions and operational services in support of their business strategies.
Job purpose:
Primary Transformation leader focused on identifying and implementing digital capabilities, processes, and services to help drive the transformation of PepsiCo's voluntary and regulatory Sustainability reporting agenda. This role is responsible for ensuring we are designing and building robust data and reporting solutions to enable accurate, traceable, and timely reporting of voluntary, regulatory, and other performance management related reporting of Sustainability metrics. The scope includes all of PepsiCo's pep+ voluntary reporting obligations, regulatory reporting obligations such as CSRD, SEC, etc., and other tracking and performance management capabilities such as glidepath forecasting, data outlier detection, proactive insights, etc. This role will also be the primary lead ensuring Sustainability metrics are appropriately included in other performance management reporting.
This role will also be responsible for transforming internal demand management processes to ensure evaluation and consideration of embedding Sustainability related requirements into digital transformation programs in a pragmatic way. Objectives will include identifying where, and influencing how to drive global collaboration and strategy development across a multi-function ecosystem that includes Procurement, Agriculture, R&D, Finance, etc. Scope includes strategy, pursuit, and driving investment execution through internal capability teams.
Responsibilities
Implement product vision and strategy, ideation, roadmaps, and value identification focused on pep+/ESG goal tracking capabilities
Will define, drive, and own the roadmap for all Sustainability voluntary, regulatory, and performance management reporting
Partner with Sectors and BUs to align product and services roadmaps
Capture, refine, and codify requirements for various Sustainability reporting solutions, including glidepath trending, forecasting, and other data/reporting needs as needed
Lead the analysis, design, and build of capabilities that will significantly improve our data management and reporting capabilities for Sustainability
Drive improvement in overall data readiness and data quality supporting PepsiCo's voluntary and regulatory Sustainability reporting agenda.
Leverage prior experience in Sustainability reporting to identify incremental capabilities that will enable more efficient and streamlined Sustainability reporting
Deliver intuitive analytics dashboards, scorecards, and exception reporting that empower the global organization to easily explore and access the information required
Identify and develop advanced analytics capabilities around sustainability by leveraging best-in class practices and cutting-edge technologies to look ahead and develop insights to shape the future of sustainability within our business.
Engage and collaborate with sustainability teams based in sectors globally, R&D/portfolio transformation teams, and others implementing sustainability solutions globally to ensure requirements for internal reporting and external reporting are being met
Stay current with trends in Sustainability reporting, including approaches to Scopes 1, 2, and 3 data management and reporting
Work with internal Capabilities team (IT) to identify talent and build teams to get work completed
Build product management expertise in the Transformation team to drive a product development mindset for the Sustainability area
Establish and maintain productive relationships with senior business leaders, as well as the Delivery, Development, and Support functions
Become a subject matter expert in Sustainability reporting, its supporting solutions, and work with business partners to establish and maintain a 5-year Global Capabilities Roadmap
Drive awareness and availability of relevant, quality Sustainability data for use by internal teams in decision making (Democratize access to Sustainability data more broadly)
Participate and represent in several working committees and cross functional councils focused on driving improvement to overall Sustainability reporting
Help our business convert high level needs into fundable and executable projects by defining scope, requirements, value propositions / business cases, and estimates of work required to deliver
Keep abreast of both internal technologies and solutions (e.g., new technical solutions being identified and developed by our Data/Analytics & AI teams, Digital Product teams) and external technologies and solutions relevant to Sustainability
Act as point of escalation when unexpected issues and/or new requirements are surfaced, and tactfully guide those issues to resolution
Coach and develop team members by driving accountability, ownership, and commitment to PepsiCo values
Drive solution design and architecture by collaborating with Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architects, and relevant digital platform teams
Accountable for implementing the appropriate resource strategies to ensure full support of deployed capabilities within the area of responsibility
Navigate complex matrixed environment to ensure business outcomes are achieved
Act as an internal consultant to Sustainability business teams on digital capabilities and potential use cases
Responsible for managing funded projects and ensuring business value delivery
Ensure on time and on budget delivery of initiatives which satisfies project requirements, while adhering to architecture standards
Manage work intake, prioritization and release timing, balancing demand and available resources. Ensure tactical initiatives are aligned with the strategic vision and business needs
Drive Agile product delivery
Compensation & Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is between $122,300 - $242,700 based on a full-time schedule
Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 25% of annual salary paid out annually
and an additional target payout of 10% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period
Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance
Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Data Science, Engineering or related field
Master's degree or MBA in Sustainability, Engineering or related technical fields strongly preferred
Experience in Sustainability and Sustainability tracking/reporting tools and approaches required
10+ years of progressively responsible experience leading/implementing Business Intelligence/Data Analytics/ Data Management implementation teams
Demonstrated, strong understanding of architecture and foundational Data Management domains (Data Architecture, Data Integration, Master Data Management, and Data Governance)
Experience with statistical programming languages (R, Python), predictive analysis techniques and tools and data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI (nice to have).
Previous experience in a fast-paced environment desired; previous experience in a CPG company a plus
Previous experience designing and building data management and reporting solutions for Sustainability, including Scopes 1, 2, and 3
Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, distilling, and summarizing business requirements
Ability to communicate technical and complex subject matter to leaders in business terms
Proven track record of building consensus among diverse stakeholders
Highly self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, able to leads groups of people through complex/ambiguous concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years working closely on global and sector level projects, including business case creation, sell-in and project mobilization.
Understanding of digital transformation, industry standards, solution architecture, and trends in related technologies.
Ability to listen and build rapport and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the business unit or function, as well as with leadership and functional teams
Strategic thinker focused on business value results that utilize technical solutions
Ability to set expectations with business partners and effectively use governance for a positive business partner experience
